Since I was younger, I’ve always felt like my face looked wider and longer than I wanted, especially in photos. My jawline was quite strong, which made my features look a bit masculine. No matter the angle, my face always seemed bigger compared to the rest of my body.After researching ways to improve my facial shape, I found out that Korea is really well known for facial contouring surgery. I spent a lot of time looking at different clinics online before deciding on DA Plastic Surgery. Their English-speaking staff answered my questions quickly, which helped me feel more comfortable about traveling abroad for surgery.During my consultation, Lee Dong Chan reviewed my CT scan and explained what could be done. My goal was to slim my lower face and soften my features while keeping a natural look. He recommended jaw reduction and chin contouring with V-osteotomy, which sounded perfect for what I wanted.Surgery went as planned. I stayed overnight at the clinic so the nurses could monitor me. The first few days were honestly tough my face was swollen and tight, and drinking or speaking was hard. I was on soft foods only, which made me feel weak at times. By the third day, things started to get easier.Recovery has been slower than I expected ?. It’s been almost 3 months, and I’m still dealing with some swelling, but I can see it gradually going down week by week. My face is definitely looking slimmer compared to before. I’ve also lost about 9 pounds because of the soft food diet, and chewing is still a little uncomfortable.I wasn’t sure if I should post photos yet, but I decided to share them here for reference. I’m cautiously optimistic facial contouring can take months for swelling to fully settle, and I know it might be close to a year before the final result. So far, I can see a positive change in my facial shape, and I’m looking forward to how it continues to improve over the next few months.

The location is highly accessible and easy to locate. It’s in a great area, which is especially helpful for first-time visitors to the country like myself (as a foreigner). They kindly provided a car for my use making things very convenient. For my follow-up stitch removal appointments, I simply booked an Uber each time, and it was straightforward because everything is located in the city.

I had my 2nd set of surgeries (hair transplant, lip corners, philtrum reduction, liposuction and fat transfer to hips) at DA in late September 2024, after having face contouring, facial fat grafting and breast augmentation also at DA earlier in the year in April. I am a caucasian trans woman, but I live in a country nearby so it was rather easy for me to travel here. My hair transplant was done by Dr. LEE Dong Wook and the rest was done by Dr. Yoon Hyeon-sik. I’m only a few weeks post op but I am already really happy with the results from my last set of procedures. The hair transplant has settled really well and never really showed much sign of redness, and DA scheduled regular appointments for a nurse to wash/comb/dry the hair which was great for me as the apartment I’m staying in and the other surgery I had made it difficult for me to wash it myself at home. The lip corners and philtrum reduction scars are already very not noticeable, especially the scar under my nose (it looked more like a little bit of inflammation than a scar even just 2 weeks post-op). The liposuction also I am very happy with the initial results of, though I think this will take longer to see the final result due to the nature of the swelling - I’m also happy with the initial outcome of the fat transfer and am hoping the transferred fat will stay and not be absorbed. DA’s service overall was OK. I always had an interpreter with me during the pre-op, the operation itself and follow up appointments afterwards. Things are rather well organized pre-op, but unfortunately post-op things get a little less organized and a lot of the advice/precautions from doctors/nurses is given on the spot and can conflict with advice you were previously given or may not be given at all. I’d recommend keeping a running notepad during your recovery and writing down any questions you have so you can be ready to ask your doctor when you see them during the follow up. As an example, one of the dressings for the lipo incisions fell off during the night I stayed at the hospital, and when I asked the nurse she said I didn’t need to worry about it and could leave it as is, but then during a follow up a week later I was told that it didn’t look great and I needed to take better care - it actually should have been covered the entire time. The scalp treatments had also been great, but during my final checkup the nurse washed my hair and then asked me to dry it myself with no brush and just a rather wide-tooth comb, and it ended up with me pulling a lot of my hair out trying to dry it. I would add though that they did not hesitate to schedule follow ups, and always answered the questions I had before/between/after the follow-ups through my agency rather quickly. As a trans woman I appreciated that the doctors understood that my interest was not just to aesthetically improve but overall feminize my face - I felt they were able to do this especially so with the philtrum reduction and hair transplant. Before my hair transplant, the doctor showed me a few options of shapes he could fill my temples in with and made a suggestion for what would look most feminine in terms of overall hairline shape and also factoring in forehead size. During the operation he was also able to cover up the scars from the brow bone reduction I had earlier in the year which was a nice added bonus! Overall I am very happy with my outcome. I had eye bags removal surgery with Dr. Yoo Young Sun at DA Plastic Surgery. It took me a long time to finally decide to go to Seoul from Sydney , Australia as I have never had plastic surgery ever. I was given wrong information by Jay originally via Whatsapp. Upon arriving DA, Skylar became my interpreter and all matters resolved. Skylar has done above and beyond- she held my hands and calmly explained the procedure, apologized for the wrong information given.I didn't know about the de-swelling treatments; laser and oxygen chamber post op, as I couldn't wash my face for a week post op, they even washed my hair! I'm now back in Sydney 2 weeks post op, I'm more than satisfied with my decision of going to DA. Their antibiotics, scar cream all did a wonderful job. Crystal at reception was always cheerful and friendly. DA has the entire building to themselves. Professional, safe and comfortable. It's people like Skylar, Crystal and Dr. Yoo Young Sun who makes a difference to people's lives for the better. I would've given 5 stars if not for Jay. Thank you DA Plastic Surgery! After receiving a recommendation from a friend, I had surgery on my eyes from DA Plastic Surgery three days ago. I initiated contact via WhatsApp months before the surgery. There are multiple ways to contact them, options of which are located on their website. Since I am from another country and given the time change I contacted them via WhatsApp. They were very responsive and spoke English. Make sure you have all of the requested information when you first reach out – it will make the process go much faster. Once all the required information was provided, they gave me an online consultation, which included initial recommendations. I had to pay a deposit to secure an in-person consultation and schedule a surgery date. After my surgery, I learned that I was supposed to have a post-surgical follow-up with my surgeon 7 days after the surgery, but was not made aware of this in advance. I was only told, “7 days in Korea,” during my online consultation. Due to this overlapping with my departure date, I will be seen on day 6 post surgery. On the day of the in-person consultation and surgery, an English-speaking liaison guided me through the various phases and assisted with translations. During the in-person consultation, I, among other things (1) met with the surgeon for consultation, finalized payment, and completed a medical examination (chest x-ray, blood work, and EKG). On the day of surgery, I also, (1) reviewed and executed a sizeable amount of paperwork (i.e., notices and consent forms) and (2) met with the surgeon to confirm final surgical plan before surgery. The most notable part of my experience with DA was engaging with their personnel. The English-speaking liaisons, nurses in the recovery room and surgeon were very nice, helpful and made me feel very comfortable. Though I can’t say for certain because I am still healing, at this time, I feel confident that my surgeon is a skilled professional that gave me optimal results. DA has an opportunity to improve their business operations and executive function. • Information. There is no transparency into the process I just shared above. DA does not offer any informational pamphlets on the process or what to expect. As standard operating procedures, detailed information should be provided at the time of the online consultation and should include what to expect during down time and post op recovery. I felt like I was just scurried along with each step. • Procedural fairness. I asked but was likely not allowed copies of the documents I reviewed and signed on the day of surgery. Information contained in the documents are sizeable and there should be zero expectation that a patient can remember all details. If DA’s intent was truly for me to be informed and had honest intentions that the purpose of the documents is to protect both DA and me, they should give me copies so that I have record and can refer back as needed.

Why I chose DA ! out of 3 clinics I visited !!! I felt much more relaxed bcux their in-house translators helped me throughout the procedures.The consultant was very reliable and professional. Doctors also speak good English and understand my needs very well. The consultant said that the clinic scouted only popular and talented doctors with good reviews of different clinics all around Seoul so that they are very experienced and confident with their job. That is also a reason why they are a little pricier compared to other small clinics. Now, it actually makes sense after hearing that. And she also added that the anesthesiologist will be on standby throughout the procedures so that there is no issue of the patient waking up in the middle of the long surgery. I was very afraid about this because I heard that some clinics do not have enough anesthesiologists so the patients woke up in the middle of sleep and could feel the pain. The other main reason why I am trustworthy about DA is because they offer the cctv records anytime I claim, promising that there are no ghost doctors. Considering all those points, I chose DA over other clinics and no regret so far. I am happy with the current result and it's worth it.

Since I was a kid, I've had wide cheekbones and a square jaw. When I took pictures, only my face looked so big. While I was searching for facial contouring surgery on many different websites, I found out that Korea's facial contouring surgery is really famous. After researching for a long time, I chose DA plastic surgery. Even though I was really afraid of the surgery even before going to Korea, the English staff kindly consulted online. And during the consultation in person, my consultant told me that I have a bone condition that could have a good outcome. My doctor, Dr.Lee, understood my concerns and expectations (to look natural and not artificial). And another good thing about DA is that there is a separate anesthesiologist. I read in some articles that there were many accidents related to anesthesia in other clinics because they didn't have anesthesia specialists. After the surgery, I stayed in the hospital for a day. It was so uncomfortable, to be honest :( I couldn't speak for about 3 days right after the surgery. But as time went by, everything got better and better. There is still a slight difference between the swelling on the right and left sides of my face, but my doctor said it was normal and I was recovering well. Before leaving the country, I took another CT scan to compare the difference between before and after, and the result was really good. My cheekbones and chin were well cut and trimmed. It's still difficult to check my final appearance yet because of the swelling, but I can see that my face is now different in a good way!

It’s been two weeks since my surgery and I love how my eyes turned out! At first, the clinic can seem overwhelming since it’s always busy and there are just so many different floors. I ended up choosing DA because of how attentive my translator was and how patient Dr. Kim was. He didn’t suggest any unnecessary procedures and gave me recommendations based on what I wanted. For anyone interested in plastic surgery, I recommend doing your research, visiting 2+ clinics, and not getting overwhelmed when people push you to make a decision. Do what makes you comfortable and go with your intuition :) Good luck!!

I've had 3 surgeries at this clinic in my past years and everything was fine. This time I went to the operation and I was fully frozen on the operation & get the temperature , the doctors here are good but the attendants became very bad, after the operation I was shaking a lot and I could not warm up for a long time. The next day I was lying in my hotel with a temperature cant sleep & eat, having come for post-operative treatments for the second day, floor 3 post operation treatments : they put me in a pressure O2 camera and just left without any instructions & didn't ask how I feel, my head almost exploded from pressure in barocamera , I also had to wash my hair I waited 45 min on the seat, when one girl called me, she just wet my hair and that's it. This is shoked medical neglect which is not acceptable in hospitals! I am very disappointed that the quality of the clinic's services has fallen dramatically! I asking Top management to take action! Updated on 28 Apr 2023: In 2022, I wrote a negative review of DA clinic here after a surgery that made me feel bad. However, I now regret that review as I was very emotional at the time. Fortunately, the clinic management helped to resolve all issues. This year, I went back to the same clinic for a full body liposuction, and although it's still early in my recovery and I'm experiencing a lot of swelling, I'm already seeing good results from my doctor's work. After the surgery, I stayed overnight at the clinic, and the nurses were very attentive and caring towards me. Additionally, the staff on the 3rd floor who provided post-operative treatments were excellent. They were extremely careful not to cause me any pain while treating my stitches, and I'm very grateful for their efforts.

I am from France and I was looking for a clinic to have surgery in South Korea that suits my expectations, results and level of experience, after several searches and contacted different clinics I ended up choosing DA plastic surgery and you know what? I am very happy that I did! I did facial contouring (cheekbones / jaw / chin), double eyelid surgery / ptosis correction and endotine forehead lift. The surgeons are extremely professional, attentive, they ask you what you want and research exactly, the details in consultation and the same day you are going to have your operation.
