+ DES, rhinoplasty It has been about 2 months since my procedures at DA. I was very worried about having so many things done especially at my age, but my consultation went smoothly and put my mind at ease. I consulted with Dr. Yoo Young Sun for both my eyes and lifting, and Dr. Seo Sang Hoon for my nose. Both of them listened carefully to what I wanted (fixing my skin sagging and laxity, sunkeness and looking tired for my eyes and making my nose sharper and higher) and did their best to find a design that was close to what I wanted but was also possible given my skin condition. There were no major issues during or after the surgery, but I did experience a lot of swelling, which also meant that I had a lot of skin tightening. It was also really uncomfortable breathing through my mouth and the changing of the seasons didn't help with that. But now, two months after, I can safely say that I am recovering well and the results are almost close to perfect. My face looks closer to what it did when I was younger. I'm so thankful to both the doctors that worked on my surgery and my translator for clearly conveying what I wanted.

I had already decided if my results of plastic surgery came out satisfied I would write a review from day 1, so I am glad to write my story here. There a certain barrier where I could get background clinic sources since I lived in Seattle, so I had to look up all kinds of roots all by myself. I watched some clinics before and after review videos on Youtube and looked up some reviews online, I had a couple of online consultations, and then got in-person consultation when I made to Seoul last year. Long story short, I wanted to get facial contouring procedure and Dr.Lee Dongchan at DA seems popular on this contouring field. So he was one of my top 3 doctors who I wanted to ask to get my procedure done by Dr. Lee. All 3 doctors I met at DA, Girin, and Wonjin were so great. It was tough to choose which doctor I should ask for. I chose Dr.Lee Dongchan, because I liked the way he explained, and not only the doctor, but also all personnel who work at DA. I was in pain so couldn’t really follow up what was going on, but the nurses and my translator helped me a lot, so that I really didn’t need to do things by my own. I really appreciated it. A couple of days later, they took the bandage wrapping around my face of and I could see my self in mirror! They told me I would have major post-op swelling at least for 1 to 2 weeks, but I already liked my new facial line even I had a post-of swelling! ...read moreI had my facelift done at DA with Dr. Koo Hyun Kook about 4 months ago. I always felt like I had too much skin because it was so saggy and wanted my features to be more sharp. The swelling and bruising was a bit scary the first couple week but now I can already see that my features are more pronounced. Dr. Koo did a very good job getting close to the face I had in mind! The translators and coordinators at DA were also so helpful, from even before I came to Korea. There were a lot of people so there was a bit of a wait but consultation went smoothly and I liked how they didn't to try sell extra unnecessary procedures and gave it to me straight. Their aftercare services post-op were also very helpful for swelling. I was able to come in for the de-swelling laser treatment almost every day and HBOT almost as frequently! If you're considering plastic surgery, I highly recommend DA!
...read moreIt’s been a month since I had my lifting surgeries. I underwent a full facelift, neck lift, forehead lift, and lower blepharoplasty. I can already see noticeable changes, especially in my lower chin area, where I previously had significant sagging due to aging. Another concern was the sagging around my eyes. Because of my prominent brow bone, upper blepharoplasty was not recommended in my case. Instead, Dr. Yoo suggested a forehead lift to elevate the upper area and improve my eye opening. The incision was made along my hairline, extending around the sides of my face to the back. At just one month post-op, I can already see the scars fading nicely.I highly recommend Dr. Yoo and DA Plastic Surgery. I truly appreciate their approach of tailoring the procedure to my specific concerns.
...read moreI flew to Korea alone for multiple surgeries and was honestly terrified going in, so here’s my experience with DA plastic surgery start to finish - It’s lengthy so bear with me! I probably spoke with DA plastic surgery 20 times before I actually flew to Korea. They were SO patient and helpful, even when I had a million questions because what I wanted was quite extensive and I was nervous. When I got to Korea, they sent a driver to pick me up from the airport and drop me off at the hotel they had helped me book, the whole process was super easy, especially considering this was my first time in a country where I didn’t speak the language. Day 1: I was picked up from my hotel and taken to the clinic, where I met my translator Ellen, who was an absolute GODSEND. She spoke perfect English, helped me fill out all the paperwork, listened to all my concerns and goals and helped me pick the best surgeons possible. She even worked with me to make sure I was going to get the best results while staying within my budget, and answered my 5 million questions (she even helped me set up my food delivery app). The consults were great, the doctors took me through everything from the process to their recommendations and I was confident going into the next day. We also did all the blood tests and before photos! Day 2: Surgery Day! I went back to the clinic early in the morning, met with the surgeons one more time for any last minute questions, and then it was time! Everything is in the same building, so all we had to do was go up the elevator. After the surgery, I was wheeled to the private recovery room, and I’m not going to lie, I was in bad shape. The nurses were soooo helpful and on top of things, bringing me everything I could possibly need, and even calling my translator to help answer questions. Day 3: Back to the hotel in the morning! I was still not in the best shape, so one of the employees helped me and my things all the way back to my hotel room, for which I am SO grateful. Week 1-2: I kept going back for de-swelling treatments, and for a couple of check ins with my doctors. I had my stitches removed about a week out. The service DA offers is unparalleled, I was getting red light treatments, oxygen chamber, IV drips - they even shampooed my hair for me twice. I’m not going to sugarcoat it, the first few days were rough. I was swollen, uncomfortable, and definitely had moments where I questioned if I made the right decision, but the staff was incredibly attentive and that made a huge difference. At the end of week 2 they dropped me off at the airport and it was back to the US. I’m only 4 weeks post-op, so I know I still have a lot of healing to go, but so far I can already see the direction of the results and it’s already very close to what I asked for. I am so so so glad I went with DA, they made the whole process so easy and as non stressful as I could have ever asked for!

The experience with DA Plastic Surgery Clinic was great and I felt very safe with the guidance from staff and my doctor. And especially since this was my first time getting plastic surgery I was extra nervous, but the staff there and my doctor reassured me with detailed explanation of everything and I felt safe with their care. Also since I am a foreigner and don´t speak korean fluently I requested a translator. I am very happy with her service and she help me a lot with communicating my wishes to the doctor, and I felt like I could freely express my opinion. Her name is Yubin and I definitely recommend her service. I traveled from the U.S. to Korea for facial contouring, mainly because I had been self-conscious about my protruding chin, especially from the side, where it had a slight “banana-like” curve. Before surgery, my main concerns were the projection of my chin and the lack of definition in my jawline. Now that most of the swelling has gone down, I can see a clear difference. My face looks more balanced overall, and my side profile is closer to what I had hoped for. I had a T-osteotomy (chin reduction) along with square jaw contouring to create a softer V-line. I also combined it with lifting and some fat removal to help prevent sagging. It seems like doing these together helped maintain a more defined and tighter look. The results look fairly natural. It made a noticeable difference especially with my proportions. My jawline appears slimmer and more defined, especially in photos. Scarring was something I was worried about beforehand, but so far it’s minimal and not very noticeable. ...read moreHolaaa I had my rhinoplasty done at DA with Dr. Nam Dong Woo. My main concern was the hump on my nose and the slightly droopy tip. I didn’t want a dramatic change I just wanted a softer, more feminine look that still felt like me. From the beginning, the consultation process was very thorough. The staff spoke good English, and I never felt rushed. Dr. Nam really listened to what I wanted and, more importantly, what I didn’t want. I told him I was scared of ending up with that overly “done” or unnatural look that sometimes people associate with surgery in Korea. He reassured me that he would focus on balance and harmony with my facial features rather than changing my identity. For my surgery: -I did not use any implants, which was something I specifically preferred. -He used ear cartilage to refine and support my tip. -Since my bridge was already high enough, he simply shaved down the hump and made the line smoother and straighter. The surgery itself went smoothly, and the clinic was very organized. Post-op care was also well managed they gave clear instructions and were responsive whenever I had questions. I can see a huge improvement: 1st my nose looks much softer and more refined 2nd the hump is completely gone And 3rd, the tip is no longer droopy and looks more lifted but still natural Most importantly, it fits my face really well jaja My biggest fear before surgery was that it would look fake or too “Korean style,” but that didn’t happen at all. The result is very natural and suits my facial structure. If you’re thinking about getting rhinoplasty in Korea, I’d say do your research, communicate clearly with your doctor, and don’t be afraid to express your concerns.

My goal was to slim my lower face and soften my features while keeping a natural look. He recommended jaw reduction and chin contouring with V-osteotomy, which sounded perfect for what I wanted.Surgery went as planned. I stayed overnight at the clinic so the nurses could monitor me. The first few days were honestly tough my face was swollen and tight, and drinking or speaking was hard. I was on soft foods only, which made me feel weak at times. By the third day, things started to get easier.Recovery has been slower than I expected ?. It’s been almost 3 months, and I’m still dealing with some swelling, but I can see it gradually going down week by week. My face is definitely looking slimmer compared to before. I’ve also lost about 9 pounds because of the soft food diet, and chewing is still a little uncomfortable.I wasn’t sure if I should post photos yet, but I decided to share them here for reference.
