Pre-op Review of Facial Contouring at Braun Plastic Surgery

WORTH IT
I made an appointment to consult with Braun PS in early June this year via email and the Kakaotalk messenger app. I found out about the place through YouTube videos and they seemed very well-organized for foreign patients.
Esther, a translator staff from Braun, was kind and responsive to my questions and concerns until the very day of consultation online.
I was nervous because it's an extensive surgery but when I met a doctor Kim and had counseling with him, I felt somewhat relieved about how confident he was and how thorough the Q&A went.
Once I arrived, there was barely any waiting time. From the moment I filled out the form and until the last minute I walked out, I got the full attention of the staff.
Dr. Kim was direct and clear on the procedure and he took time with me to answer all my questions. I really appreciated that.
Esther and the other staff were very kind and well-organized. I'll continue posting reviews on how my journey goes.

Week 4 after face contouring & swelling looks a lot better

Genius483390

It's been 22 days since I had a face contouring operation. I could barely eat anything but nutrition drinks in order to take medications for the first 12 days because the inside of my mouth was swollen and it was hard to open my mouth. However, I was told that's normal for post-surgery symptoms. On the 15th day after the operation, my stitches were removed and my mouth started to recover faster then I tried to start eating something like porridge and steamed eggs. I'm on week 4 and the swelling looks a lot better compared to the first two weeks but it's still noticeable around my nose, cheeks, and under the chin. I can open my mouth as much as I can fit two fingers between my upper and lower teeth and as long as it's not hard or chewy food, I can eat at a slow pace. The only pain I have now is when I randomly feel the pain around my gums as my teeth are going to fall out and I notice a couple of teeth show a tiny bit of their roots. As my chin still feels numb and tingly, I think I'm still going through a recovery phase. I'm staying positive and following every instruction that the staff gave me.

It's been a little over 5 months, the gum pain is gone and the swelling part is also a lot better now. When my cheek area is touched, even a slight touch, I have a tingly sensation around my cheekbone and eyes but I hope these symptoms go away eventually as the dr said the full recovery takes from 6 months to a year. Moving my mouth and tongue feels a lot natural now and I can basically eat anything I want.

Hi there! Do you still recommend Dr Kim Tae Gyu? I am considering him for chin reduction. Have you experienced any unwanted, lasting effects (numbness, different smile, tooth effect etc) in your chin/lip area?

It's been a year now. As Dr Kim said, most discomfort and numbness went away after around 9months. I'm doing great. I recommend him for chin reduction!
