Jaw Botox for TMJ

ORIGINAL POST

Jaw Botox for Tmj

WORTH IT
I've been suffering from tmj for over 10 years, and it had progressively gotten worse. I got tired of all the tension headaches, all the popping and all the pain in the morning from a long night of grinding. I had tried various night guards, and pain relievers and muscle relaxers. Nothing had worked and I was now having problems eating one of my favorite foods ( nachos )
I had contemplated braces but I knew that would only cause me more discomfort, the other option was jaw surgery which seemed really drastic to me.I started reading stories of people who had gotten botox in the masseters, I did read plenty of scary stories of this being injected incorrectly, but I know Dr. Hessler is extremely skilled and we discussed my tmj and I decided to give it a shot. It was all very quick, we spent more time going over information than the actual injection which was pretty quick. It was not painful at all and the needle was out pretty quickly. One week later and it was like night and day! No more pain in the morning, no tension headaches and I was able to eat nachos again with no discomfort! Super recommend! Had I known that I could find relief so easily I would have done this years ago! Thank you again Dr. Hessler!

Happy for you! How many units did you get? Did your face slim much? I am concerned about my results, I got 15 units each side
Hello there! I got 20 each side. Actually not at all , i have a fuller face naturally and I have noticed no changes aesthetically.
That’s awesome!!! Good news and gives me hope :-)
I did not have the nerve to get this from any injectors at day spas that may not do the masaters much, I get your concern. I did read plenty of "horror stories" but my dr is a double certified plastic surgeon. Best of luck to you! The relief will be amazing.
