5 months! Dieting and exercise has really helped tone and tighten, but I am thrilled with the outcome! Skin is still tightening, I can tell, but the inches are gone and the results are exactly what I was looking for. Dr. Obi did a fantastic job, all the little unevenness was caused by swelling and it has disappeared as he said it would! Thrilled!!

You look FABULOUS....but 5 months. Or at the very least 3-4. WOW. I'm due to my surgery in 3 days and I'm FREAKING OUT at the long recovery people are reporting!!! I don't know if I can do it. It is SO LONG. :(

You will be up and about in 2 days, but I was definitely really sore for about 4 weeks. The swelling takes all of 4-5 months to go away. It isn't noticeable to anyone really but you, and I lived a very active summer with my son is soccer tournents every weeknd, but I feel like now I look like what I wanted. But that was after a lot of massaging every night, do not slack on that, and exercising and eating really well. I even gave up my daily 2 glasses of wine a night. Being In that much discomfort is a serious motivator to have things look the way you want after!! Good luck and I hope you have a great surgeon.

As soon as I take off my garment in the morning, I start to swell in my abs. When does this stop? My abs look really good in the am, but become puffy after an hour. I am still sore too. Much longer healing process than I factored.

Any update on the swelling?

Yes. Swelling is much better! I am almost 4 months and I feel like the swelling on my legs is pretty much done. I can get sore occasionally if I work out too hard, but mostly the skin is tightening. My abs are still sore by night, especially the sides, and the skin is taking longer to tighten there, but the doc says that is normal. I think it really does take 6 months to heal from this procedure!

Thanks! I live in Jacksonville and thinking about taking the dive. I get nervous about the individuals who have to revisit lumps and the swelling continuing.

No lumps! In fact, I just have one tiny diver that seems to be getting better as the skin tightens. I massaged like crazy in the first two months and so am not lumpy at all. I love Dr. Obi, he is extemely experienced and did an awesome job both with pre and post op care!

"Divot" not Diver.
