Dr. Obi has been a blessing in the most literal sense. Choosing to go to his office was the best personal choice I have made in so very long due to the effects of his high-level of medical expertise, exquisite artistic eye, sense of empathy with his patients, and ability to know what they want to achieve in the results from their surgery. This man was able to know my face and foresee the drop that would take place from scar contracture even 7 months out- my nose is BEAUTIFUL. I am SO HAPPY. I am beyond words.... FURTHER....What brings me here at 9:30 pm on a Saturday night is the fact that I was carded at Publix for Alchohol. Let me explain... It's the holiday's ladies...I am almost 40. The kids are at their Dad's. School just released for the holidays. All the week's daily school-themed dress days have been completed. The school class holiday parties finished, the holiday cards passed out, the gift cards purchased, the holiday pajamas worn. It was time for the frozen dinner and the wine. 19 Crimes Red Wine, a selection offered by Snoop Dogg no less, but I digress.. As I was being checked out by a very pleasant woman of the age of 50ish I was carded despite pulling down my stylish lululemon mask. She did not accept my given date of 1983. I gave her my full Karen ladies... she wasn't having any of it, nor did her manager. I had to go retrieve my driver's license. I haven't been carded in years... As I sat in front of my vanity two glasses in I realised-I have no crow's feet anymore. No forehead lines...and I'll be damned If my under-eye looks like I'm 26-28 again.. I did do my concealer and that why I was at my vanity, to take my makeup off. You see I decided my nose was so great why not try some injectables? So I made an appointment. Lulu said Dr. Rayess was ' the best she had ever seen" for under eyes" and I knew she had worked with other plastic surgeons across the country and she sounded genuinely excited so I booked it for the next day. best $700 I have ever spent I swear to ***. My eyes look like I am 20 something and I have not even gone back for the second portion of the syringe. This man is so good...and also, I purchased 1 syringe of cheek filler ( half in each cheek) and this INSTANTLY lifted my face, and my "parenthesis lines" disappeared. gone. I am 38 and I look 26-28. A literal miracle without a face lift. This could be the best Christmas gift you ever give yourself. You will not be dissapointed. This is the fountain of youth, this is your edge, go to Dr Obi.....
I have been wanting to have bigger boobs my whole life an it is time! My surgery date is 2/27. I am seeing Dr. Lewis Obi in Jacksonville Florida and will have gummy bear implants. the shape has been left up to the doctor once he gets in there! (Round or tear drop) I have a tuberous breast (my right) and he states it will be difficult to make my boobs perfect, but he has done many of these procedures over his time of plastic surgery. I am confident in him!! My stats are 5’10” 210 lbs. a-b cup currently.Updated on 26 Feb 2019: I am a little nervous, which I’m an extremely nervous person, but I’m doing okay. The main thing I’m not looking forward to is getting the IV to be put to sleep cause needles freak me out. I have been constantly worrying about the recovery pain although I know I’ll have pain meds. I jut know I’m not good at taking them, they usually make me sick. The doctors are aware of all of this and known I’m just naturally a nauseous person lol so things like that make it worse. Over all I am excited and keep reminding myself that I chose an amazing doctor who i believe will do awesome. They say he’s a perfectionist. I have my boobs pierced and I reeaaaaalllly want to keep them, doctor said he wouldn’t put them back in directly after surgery but his girls said sometimes he will let them. Crossing my fingers he lets them go back in! My incision is going to be through the nipples and I’m getting a lift so we’ll just have to see when it’s all over if I have my nipples rings back! I’ll post some before pictures! And wish boobs. Updated on 28 Feb 2019: So my surgery went as perfect as ever yesterday. I got up and took a good hot thorough shower and washed my hair. I got to the surgery center and I had taken Valium (what they gave me and told me to take since I’m so anxious). When I got there and during getting ready I told them I took it and I guess there’s some miscommunication in the office on what to do and not so. They definitely tried to avoid rescheduling with the concern of me signing my consent form, but since the doctor dictated my last visit in detail, that was verbal communication and my fiancé co signed because he knows exactly what I want. I was still completely coherent and they could tell that as well. So we proceeded! Same with when I asked about my nipple rings, I heard a few different answers about them getting put back in. Needless to say they are not back in right now which makes me sad. I hope the holes stay open. Anyways my BIGGEST fear about it all was getting the iv. They never hurt and usually get me on the first try. Well not today lol she stuck my left wrist and then tried my right hand. And it hurt. But I was as big of a girl as I could be and once that was over I was golden. Wheeled me into the room. Talked to me sweetly. And they put me to sleep. I woke up with boobies! Very groggy afterwards but no bad pain at all. All day/night my AMAZING fiancé has been changing my Ice and getting me anything and everything I need so I can sit as still as possible. I didn’t get any drains thank God. The whole way home and after being home things have been great. I finally fell asleep and then when I woke up and had to pee for the first time, and stood up , HOLY COW these things are heavy. I just always hold them up if I’m walking around or going to the bathroom. It’s almost 24 hours after my surgery and I’ve felt nothing more than pressure. No sharp pains. It would be too easy if things stayed this way lol. I hear the second or third day is the worst so we will see! I go back tomorrow (Friday) which will be two days after surgery to get unwrapped and see these babies for the first time! My boyfriend who is very BLUNT and nit-picky when it comes to anything said they looked perfect when the doc came out and showed him a picture. So hearing that from HIM makes me soooo soooo excited. They are big I can tell and that’s exactly what I want. With my tuberous breast, the doctor expected the procedure to be more difficult but came and told my boyfriend everything went way better than expected. I’ve always felt like I picked the BEST doctor in Jacksonville at least, and feel like he under promised and will over deliver. He’s a perfectionist. And his staff was the most amazing. They kept me calm and were soooo sweet to me through the whole process.Updated on 1 Mar 2019: I have still been doing better than I ever expected. I have been staying on top of pain medicine, about every 4 hours, so I’m sure that has plenty to do with it. Pain has been not much more than achy/bruised feeling all around my breasts. I had to really start taking medicine for itching yesterday. These bandages and my skin itches slightly, but enough to notice and be aggravating. I go in for my post op at 9:30 this morning. I will get to see them for the first time and pray my nipple rings go back in, and that I’m prepared for a shower finally. That will be nice lol. I have still been using T. rex arms. It doesn’t hurt to move them from my sides I was just directed not to. My fiancé has been the most amazing. Staying on top of me and my meds. He’s an angel. Looking forward to these days to come! So far so good! They said the doctor would be doing some fairly aggressive pushing today so I’m going to make sure I take pain meds before the appt! I’ll take pics once the bandages come off today too. Updated on 1 Mar 2019: Not sure if I stated last time but I ended up with round smooth gummy bear implants, 520 cc a piece. That’s about two extra pounds on my chest! It is day 3 after surgery and everything is still going good. I have my last pain pill before I went to my post op visit because I heard he was going to do some aggressive pushing and possibly remove stitches. He did push; it didn’t hurt. But said we wouldn’t remove my bandages and stitches u til Monday. He said I can get them wet in the shower to help with them coming off easier. He felt all around and said everything felt good in there. And that he had squeezed that size in. And that it was difficult to correct my tuberous breast but he tackled it and got it done. I asked about some warmth and fitness at the top of my boobs/chest and he said I just had a lot of surgery so it was fine and normal to get up to a temp of about 100 degrees but no higher. He said I was doing just fine and to MAKE SURE MY ELBOWS NEVER LEAVE MY SIDE. and he stressed that one wrong movement could mess something up. I try very hard to not do anything for myself basically. My fiancé has done it ALL. excited to see them even though I know they’re gonna look weird at first. Super excited for everything to settle and feel like my own. Updated on 4 Mar 2019: So I haven’t posted much because not much had changed the past few days before I got my bandages off at my second post op today. The bandages started to get a little itchy and it was hurting around the bottom, and I couldn’t tell whether it was the bandages or where there was some bruising and turns out it was probably a little of both. My boobs were way more bruised than I could see from the top of inside the bandage. The doctor reiterated again today how difficult of a surgery it was but how pleased he is with how it turned out. He placed the implants almost all the way under the muscle except for right at the bottom in fear of double bubble or need of revision. They are sitting very nicely and he said as close to in place as could be even just 5 days in. (He was happy about that) he had to drop my fold a LOT lower than it was naturally. He stressed me keeping my elbows to my side for the next 5 days still, and said to not be lifting or doing much of anything at all. I’m supposed to go back to work on 3/11 and he says I’m looking too far ahead which has been freaking me out because I obviously want to do everything right and heal as best as possible but I have to work too! I’m just keeping myself calm about it and we will see how it goes this upcoming Friday. I have almost no pain in my nipples and I feel they are numb. The nurse said they will develop more feeling again as time goes on. My nipple ring holes are definitely closed which I mentally prepared myself for so I’m trying not to be sad about it. That hurt worse than this boob job so I don’t know if I’ll ever get them done again. Overall I am extremely pleased and the doctor makes it seem like this augmentation turned out very very well and that things are looking great. They advised me no showering til Friday which I think is crazy but I will manage just like I have been! And they gave me my bra today and told me to keep it on at all times. It is tight right now but not really uncomfortable. Everyone says they fall in love with this bra but I’m sure it feels better with no bruising too. Posting pics of the uncovery today!Updated on 5 Mar 2019: Feeling pretty great!!! I forgot to mention in the last post that I was starting to get some minimal shooting pains and I was getting scared of how bad it would possibly get but they stopped! Not to say they won’t come back. And I have had a couple tiny muscle spasms. I got this post op bra yesterday and it squeezes so tight I called the office concerned that it was moving my implants. My right implant felt protruded and pushed towards the center and I didn’t like that! It didn’t seem like it was supposed to be that way. The office said it was probably just swollen and to unbutton the bra a little bit for some relief but to NOT take it off. They said to call back if it became uncomfortable like hurting, which it hasn’t. It’s mostly just pushing on the bruises and where the drains were. So I iced the boobies and they’ve been fine. So here we are the next day and I get up, boobs stiff of course, and unbutton my bra, and it looks like the implants are settling into place! They look the best they have yet. They are well proportioned and low like I wanted, an this is less than a week in! Super excited about the changes because I know they’ll be getting soft and natural looking before I know it!!! They feel bigger already, which I felt like honestly at first what if they aren’t quite as big as I wanted! But they are getting there. Guess it all just has to stretch out. I’m down to only Tylenol and sleeping medicine. I haven’t even taken any today and feel fine. They are just generally sore and only when they get touched. Very happy!! Updated on 5 Mar 2019: Forgot to attach to last post. Updated on 7 Mar 2019: Mostly i was emotional all day yesterday just because they were constantly aching, one is swollen more than the other and feels weird like the implant is protruding, and I am tired of sitting around the house and not being able to do anything for myself. Pain has never been terrible, but yesterday it was at a constant so it became very annoying. It’s mostly this post op bra squeezing bruises and drain incisions. I’ve had it half way unbottoned since I got it on Monday. Well that was all yesterday, 7 days post op. Today, 8 days post op I am doing much better. My head is in a better place thanks to quality time and support from my brother and fiancé. I haven’t been in much pain at all today. I actually slept in really late because I was soooo comfortable lying flat on my back on the couch that I didn’t move for hours. Got up and have had minimal soreness. Walking around or standing for longer periods of time kind of make my back and boobs hurt. But it’s like as soon as I sit for a minute I’m better. They are looking so good!!! Bruises are almost gone and I checked out the incisions today and they look like they are going to heal up great. My left boob has caused me almost no issues and seems to be settling well. My right, the more constricted breast previously, is the one with all the issues. I have tried to keep my hands off of them today because I feel like me freaking out about the lump and constantly touching it was making it worse. I take Tylenol one to two times a day now. And it works well. Posting pics from yesterday and today! Oh and BTW when I was in freak out mode, I called the PS office and they said everything I explained seemed normal as long as my breast or I wasn’t fevered. So I will see them tomorrow. Definitely communicate with your surgeon and staff and they can lead and guide and even give peace of mind! I was told all the soreness and everything is just part of the surgery and the pain around the drain holes usually seems to get worst for people around the one week mark. Good to know! Updated on 14 Mar 2019: Haven’t posted in a few days due to not too much changing. My boobs get these very quick sharp pains in them, makes me think that is them healing. And sensation is slowly coming back to my nipples. And boy do those things get hard quick!!! Not used to that lol. The implants are still hard, maybe slowly getting softer but not much yet. I mostly only take Tylenol at night now and ice is still my best friend when I do too much and they feel swollen. I’m loving the way they look, I just can’t wait for the right one to come down like the left one has, and they both drop and fluff. Then they are going to look so good. I’ve been out of work this whole time and will probably have a couple more days off. Not complaining because it’s been a process to gain full range of motion in my arms again. Posting some pics! Updated on 14 Mar 2019: Updated on 16 Mar 2019: Yesterday I went for another post op check (#4 I’m pretty sure) and they removed my tape from the incisions on my nipples. And to my surprise they are healing super fast and well!!! I can tell there will be no scar. One got irritated from the tape so i am just putting the powder iodine stuff they gave me on it and keeping gauze over it until the last few little spots dry up. They said it should only take a couple days and I’ll be good to go. They are scabbing up. I was pre warned to never pick the scans or it’ll make the healing process and scarring worse!! So I’m fine with leaving them alone. The right boob has finally started to drop within the last couple days and it has me super excited because they are looking so good! I woke up this morning with them being squishier than normal so I’m really happy about that too!!! Updated on 29 Mar 2019: The achy annoying pain has gone away. I hardly take any pain meds now. I can sleep on both sides and lay on my stomach per the PS. They are getting so squishy and have dropped a lot. The left seems to be going perfect and is soft, but the right is taking longer to drop all the way and is harder than the left, but is getting squishy. Dr didn’t have me start massages until about 3 weeks and I feel like that has been helping. Everything is going well besides a couple small pieces of stitch that look like they are working themselves out of my right nipple. Doesn’t hurt though. Sensitivity has been coming back, and I can really tell when I forget a bra and put on just a T-shirt, it rubs across them and I almost can’t handle it lol. They were never sensitive before except a little bit after I got them pierced. BTW I put my left piercing back in a month later but the right was closed so I kept them both out. Really happy besides having serious boob greed even tho other people tell me they are huge. I love them and they really are the perfect size. And the surgeon said he fit all that he could especially through the nipple. I am still so grateful. It’s a complete change from what I had before! Updated on 1 Apr 2019: Updated on 1 Apr 2019: Updated on 4 May 2019: I am a little over 2 weeks post op and feeling great and totally normal. They have dropped and softened so much. I’ve been wearing the strap the doctor gave me some days to try to get the right boob to come down more. Went to post op today and he said everything looks great and that the right will catch up. He said sleeping on them helps and I can tell because my left boob looks great and is soft, and I sleep on that side the most. I get little pinchy “pains”, they don’t really hurt but are annoying. And quick. Just frequently occurs. I’m using my scarguard md and it is definitely making my nipple scars heal great!
I have got to say that Dr. Lewis Obi is the most artistic, professional, and capable plastic surgeon with an excellent bedside manner (explains everything) that I have come across. I have seen the work of several through two generations as my mom had a couple of surgeons back home. Doctor Obi not only turned this 74 year old sow's ear into a silk purse but added rubies and diamonds to it also. He is attentive, caring, innovative, and up-to-date on all the latest developments in rejuvenation as well. I had eyebrow lifts, neck lift, lower face lift, stem cell injections, and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections. You can take my 74 years and switch the numbers as I truly look no more than 47, if not younger!!!! He has always done more than promised, done it better than promised, and been extremely fair (if not downright reasonable) in the costs. His staff is as caring and capable as he is. TRUELY A TOPNOTCH MEDICAL GROUP!!!!!
He is so caring and is a miracle worker when it comes to injections! I've always been so happy with my results and the personalization of the process! This review was created as part of a nomination to the RealSelf I Love My Injector Campaign.
If I could give Dr. Obi and his staff 10 stars, I absolutely would! I knew Dr. Obi's Surgery Clinic was the best and only choice for my breast augmentation after my initial consultation. Rather than the traditional "sizers" that other plastic surgery offices had me try on to determine what my end result would look like, Dr. Obi used the latest and greatest in technology by using the Vectra XT 3D imaging platform. He sent me pictures of what he could achieve through surgery using pictures of MY body. I asked his staff to send me images with minor modifications and they replied quickly and such a pleasure to work with. I had the surgery 12 days ago and I have had 3 post op visits so far. If that does not tell you how much he cares about the patient, I don't know what will. If that didn't close the deal for you, he also cares so much about your health, he conducts a breast biopsy to make sure you do not have signs of breast cancer. He is up front about this part of the procedure because there might be an out of pocket cost depending on the insurance provider, however, the fact that he offers this to his patients tells you what kind of surgeon he is. If you are looking for a reputable, experienced, and passionate plastic surgeon, I would recommend you give Dr. Obi a visit! You won't regret it.
Like the many other reviews I have read, I workout 5x a week and try to eat clean but I had those stubborn areas that would not go away. I had been considering some form of liposuction for a while but thought it was for "rich folks." I am a single mother of a 15 y/o who usually sucks up all of my money. So I happened across a Groupon for vaser lipo for $1199 per section. I figured this could work if I only got my upper and lower abs done. I went to the consultation and the young lady was not convincing at all. She started her statement with "we have a lot of people complain that it did not work because they do not ware the CG. She then looks at me crazy and asked if I could wear the CG all day." From there the consult went down hill when I asked when do I meet the doctor. She tells me I do not meet the doc until the day of surgery....RED FLAG I left knowing this was not right especially since I was at a dermatology clinic and the doc was a dermatologist. I politely had Groupon refund my money. My next consult was with a young lady I got to know from having my vein treatments. The doc she worked for did smart lipo and we reviewed before and after pics and discussed some pretty go pricing because she could "hook a sister up" but since I had found RS by this time I knew to do my homework. Come to find out, this doc was an Ob/Gyn who was now into doing cosmetic treatments and holistic health. I because extremely annoyed at the fact that you had to be a board certified plastic surgeon to do a BA but did not have to be board certified to do lipo procedures. My third consultation was with Dr. Obi which I describe below in my review of him and his staff. I thought he would be out of my reach financially because he as been doing plastic surgery longer than I have been on this earth. He has pioneered many surgical techniques and was the first in the country to have a state and federally approved clinic facility to do surgery. Thus, if anything were to happen to me on the table, I was in great hands. After our consult and I went home thinking I can swing the $4900, I called back to ask if the doc could remove a cyst from my inner thigh hairline. It was not covered under my insurance but he agreed to do it for $500. This now became a win-win for me because having the cyst removed by my gynecologist would cost about $2700-$3000. So it only made financial sense to have it removed during the slim lipo procedure. I did a second consult with another local board certified plastic surgeon just to weigh my odds. Plus this doc does BBL. He told me the same things Dr. Obi said about being a good candidate and what areas needed to be treated. Of course, I asked about the butt lift. He took a look at my butt and said that it did not need any work. That's good because I was not looking for what of those super dunks anyway. Well, his price quote was $4200 and no extras except the CG. I also learned that access to the PS after surgery was important and they both offered that. I had my pre-op on 8/10/15 and made my payment. I was given instructions, prescriptions and arnica pills. PS insist that losing weight after the procedure will help with results too. BTW, 5'7" and 195lbs. I would love to be at 160-170lbs. Surgery took place on 8/27/15 and I have been feeling good since the surgery day. I have never had any type of surgery or anaesthesia, so this was a first for me. I had a general where I was breathing on my own so I could talk to them if needed. I do remember saying it hurt a couple of times and them telling me to turn over a couple of times. I had upper and lower abs, flanks and bra rolls plus the cyst removed. The CG garment was not super tight but the ice bags helped. I took the oyx just to stay on top of any pain that may come. All the sights say that on the third day is when it really hits. Well, I thank God that is not me. I have had minimum pain, more like a dull ache. I am already only using Tylenol if needed. I have swelling which is expected but put my waist training corset on to help with the skin tightening and swelling. I would not consider my drainage excessive but I did go to the bathroom a lot. At my next day post-op visit there was still some drainage from my two lower incisions. I was told in two weeks to switch to some spanx for compression. I was also told to purchase a baby rolling pin to smooth out any lumps and help with swelling. Honestly, I don't have any lumps and the most tinder part of my body, lower abs, are not feeling fine. I finally showed my daughter how I looked without any of the bandages or CG and she said I look great. This is big since she truly knows how my body looks nude. All in all, my surgery was uneventful which is a good thing in my book. I went in with realistic self image goals and I think I am at an excellent starting point. I will post pics once I figure out how to do it. I am scheduling lymphatic massages as I know they are needed to help with full drainage and I have been doing the self lymphatic breathing and rubbing. I am starting to feel a little strange for not having any pain to complain about as I have read so often - but I would not trade my experience for anyone elses. I love me. Updated on 4 Sep 2015: Yesterday marked my 1 week post op. I first noticed swelling about four days post op. I think it started because I hit the gym too hard as I was feeling really good. Mainly the lower abs have the most swelling. Today I had my sutures removed from my cyst area which is healing just fine. I also received my new CG a Vedette 136. I love it. It gives me the full coverage strong compression I need and its cute too. I hope this will help with the swelling. I want to go back to the way I looked on day 1 post op. As far as weight I am maintaining 188-189. Starting point was 196 according to my scale and 200 according to PS scale:-) Dr. Obi is always attentive at my follow ups making sure the entry points are healed. Updated on 4 Sep 2015: These were taken by the nurse when they were prepping me for surgery. Updated on 4 Sep 2015: This are before pics I took myself. This is a week before surgery. Updated on 4 Sep 2015: The pink top is immediately after my workout while I was still flat but felt something going on inside. Shorts are the progressive swelling even though I wore my CG. I workout with the binder and spanex on because the workout cincher I ordered has not arrived. I was also amazed at how smooth my stomach looked in that one pic. Only felt one small hard spot but it broke up as soon as I started massaging it. Updated on 4 Sep 2015: Ordered on Amazon a few days ago (seems like eternity) and just arrived. It is the cutes thing with hook and eye closure on the crotch of the panty. I will live in this thing for the rest of the month or I need a smaller one.
I eat extremely clean and organic, my only vice is wine. I have tried every diet and exercise under the sun, and even at my thinnest, my thighs are always heavy. I am about to turn 40 and I am sick of it, so I booked slimlipo with Dr. Lewis Obi in Jacksonville, Fl. I booked in for my thighs, flanks, and total abdomen. Updated on 25 Apr 2015: Feeling a little bit better today. Was extremely sore yesterday, had a tough time getting in and out bed. My bruising is minimal, but I obviously very swollen. I measured myself and have already lost a couple inches on each thigh so that makes me happy. I am excited to see how many I will lose once the swelling is gone. My stomach is flat already but my back still looks swollen. I have started the pizza roller lightly along my thighs and abs, but I am still really sore. I am taking my arnica and have switched over to Tylenol for the pain. I was using real self for months before for research and advice on what to do post procedure, so I am paying it forward. I would highly recommend the arnica pills, started two days before surgery, as like I said, there is almost no bruising. I haven't really take off the CG except to wash it this morning( oozing was gross) but will take some after pics next week! Updated on 27 Apr 2015: I am like everyone else on this sight very anxious for the swelling to go down! I can see definite results in the abs, but the legs and back are too swollen to see much difference. Aargh. Patience is the hardest part. I am also tiring quite easily still. Day 4 post op. Updated on 28 Apr 2015: I removed my CG to take to take some pics and noticed how much my inside thighs were bruised! I don't know if this is because I started the pizza roller, but yikes! However I also measured since the CG was off, and I have lost 4 inches on my hips and 4 inches on my lower thighs! Only 2 inches on my waist, and 2 inches on my upper thighs. I am hoping the upper thighs go down a bit more!! Updated on 2 May 2015: I keep waiting to wake up and get out of bed and not feel that insane soreness first thing in the am. Actually anytime Move from a sitting to standing position or have to move quickly to deal with the kids, it hurts. And, it does feel exactly like a really overdone circuit series. But man. I am ready to start seeing the bruises fade( which showed up day 4) and for some relief from the soreness!! Updated on 6 May 2015: So at 11 days post op I saw Doctor Obi. I had seen his amazing nurses the week prior to check my incisions and to make sure there were no contour irregularities. But this was my first time seeing the Doc. He and I are both extremely pleased with my abs and he says I am still very swollen so will see more improvement in my legs and flanks and that it will definitely take 3-6 months for the laser tightening to be fully evident. I am already so pleased with the tapering of my legs, so I was thrilled to hear it will get better. He also explained that the reason my inner thighs were so terribly bruised and sore was because he really "went to town" with the laser because he noticed some loose skin there and was doing some preventive work. Awesome! I watched some videos on youtube for self lymphatic massage and I started yesterday. I will post some more pics once the bruising goes always completely! Updated on 7 May 2015: Massaging twice daily with this oil is really helping with the tingling and the numbness! I am not massaging hard, just smoothly and I feel a little bit lumpy on the inner thighs, so hoping this helps. I am swollen though. Especially still on the flanks and legs and even my abs a bit. Updated on 8 May 2015: I am super discouraged!!! My stomach is pudgy today and I am two inches up on my waist! I have been saintly in my eating, just have added one glass of wine back into my routine. I am so frustrated as my thighs haven't thinned anymore either. I need to start working out again!! But it bloody hurts! And I am afraid of swelling even more! I am wearing the CG all the time too!! Updated on 13 May 2015: I walked today, a good 50 minutes and it felt really good! I am still experiencing "zingers" of pain in my legs, and my abs are now more sore, especially the left side. But after walking and showering I did a thorough massage and put my CG back on. Hoping this keeps the swelling down. I have found this one part of my abs to be particularly swollen and tender to the touch. I am massaging it diligently!! I have To say though that I really thought at this point the pain and bruising would be gone. The bruising should be go e by next week, and I am hoping the pain will be too! I am down 8 pounds, and I am excited about that. I just have 5 more to go to goal weight!! Updated on 15 May 2015: Here are some split screens of my 1 week to 3 week difference Updated on 15 May 2015: I am concerned with this unevenness on both inner thighs. Looks a bit dimply. He said he took the laser to that areas and went back to forth a good bit to tighten skin so I am hoping that will resolve itself? Updated on 15 May 2015: Updated on 15 May 2015: Updated on 28 May 2015: So I went to my 1 month post op appointment this week and the Dr. Says I need to continue with the CG. It is so hot here now in Florida and with taking the kids to the beach and the pool, it just isn't practical. I mean I was practically housebound and not an active Mommy for the last month so I am keen to get rid of the CG during the day, although I am still wearing it at night. Any thoughts? I have been very diligent with massaging and I am finding that I am lump free. My Dr also recommended Velashape treatments. He wants me to get a series of 3, and he says it is crucial to helping me heal. I am not paying for these, they were included In the package, so I am willing to try. Has anyone out there found Velashape or smooth shape treatment to be worth it after lipo? Updated on 3 Jun 2015: So I have started back with my toning workout everyday and my weight has gone from about 14 pounds down from preop weight, to 8 pounds up in 4 days!! I am freaking out as I have been eating still very clean. Is this swelling weight? WTF!! Updated on 14 Jul 2015: As soon as I take off my garment in the morning, I start to swell in my abs. When does this stop? My abs look really good in the am, but become puffy after an hour. I am still sore too. Much longer healing process than I factored. Updated on 30 Aug 2015: Updated on 19 Sep 2015: 5 months! Dieting and exercise has really helped tone and tighten, but I am thrilled with the outcome! Skin is still tightening, I can tell, but the inches are gone and the results are exactly what I was looking for. Dr. Obi did a fantastic job, all the little unevenness was caused by swelling and it has disappeared as he said it would! Thrilled!!
I had been looking at less-invasive cosmetic procedures to tone my neck and jowls than a neck/facelift. A friend of mine asked me to accompany her to see Dr. Lewis Obi for a consult. After reading about his Slim Lipo technique and meeting him in person, I knew I didn't have to look any further. He took his time explaining our separate procedures to the minutest detail. He even showed us videos of before and after procedures similar to what we were looking into. I immediately set up an appointment to have Slim Lipo of my neck with fat transfer to my marionette lines. I was prescribed Valium and pain medicine to take 10 minutes before the Slim Lipo. I was photographed after changing into a surgical gown. I was comfortably situated in the operating room with a warm blanket. A gel was placed in my eyes for safety and my hands were gently secured so as not to interfere with the process. Dr. Obi proceeded to numb my neck and face area. Some areas were more uncomfortable than others. When he noticed I was a bit anxious Dr. Obi had the nurse give me more Valium. Everything went smoothly after that. I was aware of the laser and the Slim Lipo but was not uncomfortable. I lost track of time but I believe the complete process took about an hour. I was fitted with a bandage. Afterwards I did feel queezy when I tried to transfer to the wheelchair, so I was laid back down and given oxygen. After a few minutes I felt fine and was able to go home. While I was in recovery Dr. Obi spoke to my husband at length about how I had done. He really went above and beyond in so many areas. Can't say enough superlatives to give him justice. He is a wonderful doctor. That night was a little painful. I could have taken another Demerol but stuck to Extra Strength Tylenols. By the next day I was in much less pain. I went back to Dr. Obi's for a follow-up . He removed the bandage and said I could shower but needed to keep a light bandage on 24/7 if possible. It has been five days and the bruising and swelling has gone down. I can see a lot of definition in my jawline and tightness in my neck. Also, the fat filler in my face has done wonders. I believe in three months I will be extremely happy with the outcome. I'm super pleased that I went through with it even at this early stage. I go back again tomorrow to see Dr. Obi for another follow-up. I feel blessed to have found such a qualified doctor. Updated on 25 Apr 2014: I will get some before photos from my doctor next visit. Updated on 19 Feb 2015: A few months after the liposuction, I went back to show Dr. Obi that one side of my neck had an obvious fatty lump. He sent me to have two complimentary neck massages and his spa, but they didn't help at all. Went back to see if Dr Obi would fix the problem. He would but it would be over $1000. Needless to say I'm a little disappointed. I passed on the revision. Updated on 26 Jul 2015: I was asked to post a "before" picture for comparison. As you can see, there was a good improvement with the Slim Lipo. I only wish he'd taken a bit more off the right side so it would look balanced.
I started out with nothing. I didn't even fill out an A cup. I went in and he gave me all my options and answered all my questions about each one then let me decide what I wanted. He never pushed any other procedures on me or to go bigger. He made me feel extremely comfortable. I had complications during the healing process (that were my fault not his) and he made sure to get plenty of follow up with me to make sure everything turned out like it should. I moved away and when I came back to visit he opened up a spot for me to come in just to make sure everything still checked out okay. They do not look fake at all, most people don't know they are fake until I tell them. I went from nothing, to having the best boobs I could ever ask for.
Im a 31 year old African American woman and had Adivive fat transfer done to the malar area in my face and I love my results. I was suffering from low self esteem caused by loss of fat in my face and no facial definition. I'm constantly looking in the mirror now.. I'm so happy with my results!!!! When my mom and kids saw me after the procedure the were thrilled with my results. I will post before and after pictures at a later date. Another thing... When I went in for my consultation, I had my daughters with me ages (2,9, and 12)
Through the use of the SlimLipo laser lipolysis platform, you can abolish the sweat glands in the armpit area for a more permanent result (90% success rate). Since the sweat glands reside in the axillary fat cells then the SlimLipo laser platform is an effective ablative treatment. This treatment may be performed under local anesthesia with no down time. The fee for this procedure is usually around $2000. Due to your age, it may be recommended to wait until you are more fully matured, but this has been an extremely beneficial treatment for patients that suffer from excessive underarm sweat. You would have to check with your insurance company but there are many financing options available too.
Tummy Tucks, technically known as Abdominoplasty, is a major surgical procedure to remove excess skin and fat from the middle and lower abdomen and to tighten the muscles of the abdominal wall. The procedure can dramatically reduce the appearance of a protruding abdomen. But bear in mind, it does produce a permanent scar, which, depending on the extent of the original problem and the surgery required to correct it, can extend from hip to hip. You may be a good candidate for this procedure however I would recommend having a concult with a surgeon in your area to explore the other options available to you. You may also want to consider LifeSculpt Liposuction powered by SlimLipo. This procedure is unlike other laser or liposuction treatments. SlimLipo uses advanced technology to deliver dual wavelengths of laser light, specifically designed to easily melt fat in large areas - with less downtime, little to no bruising, and remarkable results. Unlike traditional liposuction, LifeSculpt powered by SlimLipo is an effective device for melting fat and not simply tearing through tissue structure of your body. The result is less body trauma and significant fat removal and dermal heating. The heating of dermal tissue has been shown to have skin tightening results which is an amazing outcome.

The comment by Boston plastic surgeon Brooke Seckel is very succinct. He and Palomar medical have revolutionized the treatment of "double chin and neck flab" with the use of the LifeSculpt™ laser. I have personally treated more than 100 necks during the past 33 months utilizing this new technology and often with "stunning" results.
I agree with the comments of most of my colleagues in that the best solution for severe neck sag (turkey neck) would be a surgical correction. There are many different approaches including extensive skin and muscle tightening and fat removal. However, it is important to maintain harmony with the lower face and neck and avoid an unnatural appearance. Therefore for most of these patients I combine a lower facelift with a neck lift utilizing short incisions. It does not prolong recovery nor increase costs significantly to utilize concentrated stem cell fat grafting and laser tightening for optimizing results.
