Made the decision to finally get a Breast lift and implants after having 2 kids, breastfeeding and losing a significant amount of weight.

I did lots of research on different plastic surgeons in Jacksonville and St. Augustine. When I heard of several rave reviews for Dr Nezami knew that had to make a consultation with him. I chose him and couldn't be happier. His staff is amazing and so sweet. Dr Nezami and his staff were very thorough.

I had my breast lift and augmentation last Friday, March 6th! I was super nervous and just ready to get it over and done with. After the surgery is a bit of a blur. The first 3-4 days were the worst pain wise. Through it all I couldn't be happier! Can't wait to see what the coming weeks will reveal with my results!!!

Thanks for sharing your story. I'm happy to hear that you're pleased with the results. There's such a difference in the before and after photos, even so soon post-op. The first few days can be grueling, but it only gets better. Can I ask why you went with that type and size of implant you did? Was that the doctor's recommendation for you?

Thanks Teddiemc! I changed my decision from saline to silicone the week before surgery. I have other friends who have had Breast augmentation surgery more than once and they chose saline the first time around and ended up switching to silicone when they had another surgery. They said the silicone feels more like Breast tissue (Dr advised of this as well). I chose the high profile because I love the appearance of the high profile and was lacking so much volume in the upper pole area. I was on the fence as to getting 350cc or 325cc. Before going into surgery I got scared and asked Dr "what about just 300cc"? He said "325cc is better and he would see what would be best for me during surgery". He's been doing this for 34 years so I completely felt at ease with him making the ultimate decision on size"! I'm sooooo very happt with the size and can't wait to heal and to go shopping for new bras and clothes!

Good for you! I love the size you chose....how many cc's? Our breast type is very similar. I'm consulting in a week, and hopefully revised w a lift in early April. I'm so afraid of being too big! Keep posting:)

Congrats! I was afraid of going to big as well. I was torn between 325 and 350cc. Ended up going with the 325cc silicone under the muscle. So happy with the size I chose. I was a 36C before surgery. Dr says I should be a D cup. I kept telling the Dr to be conservative and that Id much rather be smaller and didn't want to get them to big! Good luck at your consult and keep me posted on your journey. I will share more photos as I heal.

Congrats on your surgery! Bet you are so excited. I think you and I were at Dr Nezami's office at the same time this past week. What a small world. I just love the staff. He and his staff are the best! Martha and Mary Lou are so kind. Can't wait to see your results. I go back to Dr Nezami on Monday and will hopefully have more stitches removed and maybe some of this tape covering my incisions. Will post more photos as I heal. Let me know if you have anymore questions. Take care

I'm so reassured to see your before and afters....actually everyone's. The 5 days post op and 8 days in the pink suit are amazing! They seemed to have dropped and smoothed out in 3 day....do you think too? They're beautiful. That's the size I'm looking to get. Thanks!

Wow! They look great!!! Now I'm really excited about getting mine done. I'm also glad I went with 350cc since I'm normally barely filling a 34B cup. I hope to get results similar to yours. Congrats & thanks for sharing!! Wishing you a speedy recovery :)

Thank you!!! @ Nuboobs43, you're going t be so very pleased with your results!!! 350cc will be perfect for you. I was a C CUP and Dr Nezami said "325cc" would look best! When is your surgery again? This week or next?!!!

Excruciating ripping pain in upper right breast when laying back or down

User Avatar

Has anyone else experienced excruciating ripping pain in their Breast following Breast lift/augmentation. It feels like someone is ripping muscle out of my chest if I sit back in the recliner or laying down in bed. To get myself up it only makes the pain that much worse and unbearable. Not using my arms to help myself up either. Using my abdominal muscles. This is by far the worst pain I've ever experienced. Can someone please tell me what is going on. I've put an after hours call into my PS. Ok, just spoke with the Dr and he advised it was a nerve that was obstructed during surgery and that is what is causing my pain. He has suggested sleeping on my left side tonight to see if that helps. He's also going to give some numbing cream as well. Praying this goes away soon. He said it should go away.

Oh no! I hope you're feeling better. Any improvement?

Are you better today?
March 16, 2015
Sorry I entered too fast. Did sleeping on your side make a difference? I thought about you a lot yesterday evening, hoping his suggestions would work.

Sorry to hear that… With my first augmentation in 1999, I remember having excruciating pain in my chest. It brought me to tears and as I recall I just continued using my pain medication and it finally went away. But that was probably the second day maybe third. I did get sharp shooting pain's for a week or so after. Is that maybe what you're feeling?

Sorry to hear that. What cream did he give you? Someone on this forum recommended Arnica gel. I went ahead & ordered it on Amazon ahead of surgery & already received it. It's called Boirin Arnicare Arnica Gel. Cost me $6.99... I can't vouch for it yet but I heard good things.
