I'm still excited about summer. I have bought too many shirts and tank tops already!
My arms haven't changed much. I'm posting a pic of what the scars look like from behind me with my arms at my sides so you guys can get a better idea of my incision placement.
My scars are definitely getting darker, but I know they do that as they mature. I use sunscreen daily. Still wearing my garment most of the time and long sleeves when I'm outside.
I hope everyone is doing well and having happy and healthy recovery.

What do you mean nothing is going on? Alot is going on you look good. Your scar is healing nicely and not to mention your arms.

Lol, thanks. I guess I've been feeling down about my BA. I'm thrilled with my arms!

Thank you!

Is that the same arm garment I have, but in black?

I'm struggling with mine...85+ degrees today...

Your arms look beautiful! The incisions look nice and thin! Enjoy them! I am jealous you can wear tank tops! It's not warm enough where I am yet but in about 4 weeks I will be in Key West and I am not bringing anything with sleeves! :)

Thank you!

I'm just wearing them around house or outside with hoodie. It was 85+ degrees today! Make sure you really use sunscreen liberally and reapply often when down here. On the beaches here the sun and sand reflect so much sun, you can get burnt real quick!

Thanks for the picture - it must be great to have such slim arms again and your scars are so fine, looking forward to getting mine done soon.

You're welcome! I put that one up with you in mind ;)

I'm excited to see your arms if you get them done. I have followed and supported many arm lift gals on this site.

I had my arm lift 4 months ago. My scars are in the same place as yours. So glad I had it done. Did your PS also lipo your arms? Mine did not. Although I lost a lot of weight , I still will get my arms lipoed b/c I'm very particular about my arms after years of having fat arms!!!

I did not have lipo. It was never mentioned.

I did go on another consult and that Doctor wanted to do lipo and make the incisions bigger. I'm happy with my results and I think if I had like that might be too small!

How are your scars?

My ps did a good job with my scars. My scars are narrow.

Just over a month here...

Well, it's been a month since my surgery. I cannot believe how fast the time went by. Alas, I have to return to work tomorrow which is a major bummer. :(

At my one month follow-up, I'm cleared to start exercising and slowly working up to where I was. I forgot to ask about weight lifting and such, so I'm waiting to hear about that. I'm ready to tone these guns!

My Biocorneum cream came in, so now I am using that. It contains sunscreen. I have been advised to wear sunscreen on all my scars to protect them because the sun can make them darker.

My next appointment will be in two months. I'm just posted a couple of close up pics of my scars.

So excited for you! Your arms are looking wonderful!! I started lifting weights about 8 weeks out!! Want to keep these pretty arms!!

Lol, I know what you mean. I feel like wearing this compression garment is making me weak!

Are you ready for summer with your arms? Are you using sunscreen?
User Avatar
March 3, 2016
I always use sunscreen if I'm outside, but will be extra careful this year! I have 3 bikinis and one of the bottoms is a tiny low and shows a tiny bit of my back scar so I will be slathering myself in sunscreen! When it warms up here!:)

Your arms are healing nicely and your scar looks good. Do you still get that tight feeling?
User Avatar
March 3, 2016
I do still get it when I stretch real far, especially in my left arm. I guess it's because the scar tissue doesn't have much elasticity, although I feel it more internally than on my scar. I'm just supposed to keep stretching and using my full range of motion.

Ok.

You look fantastic! I have mine in just a few days. I hope I look as great and have as much range of motion as you at only one month!!

Best of luck with your surgery! Best thing I have done for myself personally. Money well spent! :))

Thank you!

You look fantastic!! Your scar looks great too! What is that cream you are using? I'm assuming for your scar. I am scheduled to go back to work after my procedure at two weeks, I'm wondering now if I am cutting my recovery time short or not. I can't wait to get mine done in April.

Depending on the kind of work you do, you might need more than 2 weeks.
User Avatar

I've had four weeks off, mostly because of my arms. If I just had the BA, I might have been able to go back in two weeks.

The arms is no lifting over 5lbs for two weeks. It took two weeks for me to feel like a human again, so I'm glad I had four weeks. I wish I had more, but that's personal and not really due to physical reasons. ;)

I was using Mederma for two weeks. Now I am using Biocorneum that my surgeon office ordered for me.

If you don't do a lot of lifting and physical activity, you might be okay at two weeks.

I'm doing well! Went back to work this past weekend, that was a real drag.

I'll be posting an update in the next few days, but there's not many changes.

How about you?

Three weeks, already!

Wow! I can't believe how fast this time has went. In the last week, I've really been feeling more like myself. I'm driving, walking, and shopping!

Not only is the surgery expensive, but the costs of buying clothes for summer is adding up! I'm having a blast trying on all sorts of clothes that in the past I would never even consider.

Used to be, the first thing I looked at was how long the sleeves were on a shirt. Even stores like Old Navy, Kohl's, and many others seemed like all the sleeves have been getting shorter and shorter through the years. This time of year, all the cute tees with cap sleeves are coming out. Well, now I'm a short sleeve fool!

I have even bought quite a few tank tops....;)

I made some comparison pics. They are all before and currently at three weeks post. I tried to wear a same outfit and stand in same poses to maintain continuity. I will post pics of my scars when I see a change, they look pretty much the same so far.

Good luck with all your procedures and goals!

Good luck!

I was looking at your review. How exciting for you that you had the body lift. I want lower body lift, but decided to my arms and breasts first.

I'll be sure to follow!

Isn't it so cool! I always wore tanks and short sleeves even before! Was a bit worried about what people thought but being hot made me worry less! I am not worried about the scars and what people think of them. I figure it is none of their business. I did have one moment when I thought of what one doctor said who I did not go with who said I would hate the scars and would never go sleeveless again!! Boy was he wrong! :) Your arms are looking great! I am posting new pictures this weekend. I will be about 4 months out from all my surgeries!

I was too ashamed to wear what I wanted (my fault).

I think you are looking great, I'm excited to see your update.

I know arm lift scars take a long time to fully mature. I'm going to bare mine proudly!

Omg ur arms look amazing so happy for u im getting my scars massaged by a physio to break down the scar tissue made a big difference either way not bothered

I second that - shopping is so much fun now. We are going to Jamaica in June and you can imagine how hot it is going to be, well, I don't have to worry about covering my arms up now!! Every single thing I have bought for the trip is sleeveless!! Looking forward to seeing how your scars are progressing. Is all of your scabbing gone? What are you putting on them at this time?
User Avatar
February 25, 2016
I'm going broke shopping, here! Make sure you are using sunscreen on your scars, especially if going sleeveless in a climate like that.

I've been using Mederma for two weeks. I go back Monday, and my Biocorneum should be there for me so I will start using that. My doctor is not a big fan of the silicone strips.

I don't think I have any scabbing, I never had too much to begin with. I will take close up pics of the scars next week.

I would be interested to hear your doctor's comments/opinion about scar strips if you don't mind sharing? They recommend wearing them for 6-8 weeks, so I think I am going to finish the box I have, then transition to a cream of some sort.

She seemed to think that they didn't work any better than cream. She felt the ones sold at surgeons offices were expensive, she doesn't sell them. I did seem some OTC ones, but I stuck with the creams. The main thing with the scars is to protect them with sunscreen.
