3 months post op. Very happy!

It's been 3 months since my mommy makeover. I am so happy with the results. My breasts settled into a nice D cup and have settled and softened into very natural looking breasts. My tummy is flat for the first time in forever, and my scars are looking good. I still have no feeling around my incisions, but I'm sure that will come back with time. After all my doubts, fears, and second-guessing myself I can honestly say it's been so worth it! I'd do it again in a heartbeat!

Drains out!

I got my drains out two days ago on 3/9 - 9 days post op. I am a new woman! I immediately went to Target to get this soft black bra and some ultra firm spanx. My surgeon said I could wear that if I felt it was enough compression, and if I need a little more to wear my binder over it. I was thrilled!

He said I am healing nicely and everything looks good. He also said I could resume light activities as long as I feel well enough and I don't do anything strenuous. I have been out and about for short periods of time ever since. I'm no longer taking Percocet, and I'm feeling a little better every day!

Setback

I overdid it yesterday and i paid for it. i haven't really been straining myself, but i think i walked around a little too much, got too many things out of the pantry, and worked way too many hours (even though it was from the comfort of my recliner or couch). at the end of the day i was in so much pain i had to pop a percocet. and that led to me balling my eyes out in front of my hubby, who felt completely helpless.

i hate this rollercoaster. i learned my lesson though. taking it easier today. ????

Getting a Mommy Makeover by Dr. Basile was one of the best decisions I've ever made. I was a little hesitant at first because of the lack of before and after photos on Realself and his newer website, but what drew me to him was his solid 5-star rating on Realself, and the fact that he was a micro and reconstructive surgeon. I had interviewed five other highly rated, board certified surgeons over the last six months, but something kept me from going with any of them. I knew immediately after my first consultation with Dr. Basile that I wanted him to be my surgeon. He took the time to thoroughly answer all of my questions, he explained everything to me in detail, he seemed to understand exactly what I wanted, and I was happy to hear that what I wanted could be accomplished with fewer incisions than other surgeons had told me. I had my very successful surgery with him just four weeks later. Everything about my experience with Dr. Basile was great--from the consultations, to his attentive staff, his beautiful office, the before and after care, and the surgery itself. I know individuals who have had similar surgeries to mine and in comparison my recovery seemed to be quicker, easier, and with no complications. I sincerely believe it was mostly due to Dr. Basile's skill and expertise. If I had to do it over again I would in a heartbeat. It's been more than worth it.
