WORTH IT$5,750
As promised a few pictures. It's now 6 days since the end of my 2 day procedure. It's been a mixed week in relation to pain. Some days hardly any and on other days the donor area has been quite painful. I'd say a 5 out of 10. Bearable with a couple of pain killers. The scabs are falling of nicely with nothing more than a gentle rub during my daily wash. Very pleased with the results so far.

I had been considering an FUE procedure for a couple of years. I visited a couple of UK clinics however could not justify the 15k price tag even if I could have afforded it. I did a lot of research about different clinics and surgeons in Turkey. Finally I decided on AEK and Dr Ali. The cost was higher than most however cost was not the main factor once I decided on turkey as everywhere is significantly cheaper than the UK. I wanted an experienced surgeon taking my grafts and doing the implants. I also wanted a surgeon who could speak good English. The whole experience was as described in the Skype consultation I had with Dr Ali. The procedure over the two days went smoothly with only moderate pain occasionally. I have now returned to the UK and its 4 days post op.

Thanks for sharing your experience. What was your NE grade? Do you have 'before' pics? How long did your procedure take? Did the doctor say if you would need additional procedures?

Hello Djames210, my NE grade was 4 so needed work on the front and crown. The procedure was over 2 days and would say 6 hours day one and 8 hours on the second day. I don't know yet if any further procedure will be needed until I see what the yield was in 12 months time. Fingers crossed.

Congrats njhill68 ! I'm right behind with Dr. Ali...Happy recovery and hair growth! How may grafts ? Why did he do it in two days ? Thanks for sharing.

Hi Pearl2016, I had 3500 grafts. 2500 at the front and 1000 on the crown. It was over 2 days due to the high quantity of grafts being done by just the Dr himself. I would have preferred a 1 day procedure however the quality was a lot more important. Hope that helps.

thanks for sharing ! That makes sense and sounded like a very conscientious Doctor.

I'm in the UK and I wouldn't even bother getting consultations here. I'm amazed they clinics stay open here with the rip-off prices they charge. Good for these Turkish clinics, I say. They may be high-volume but almost every review seems to give high praise.

I agree the prices in the UK are ridiculous. I went for a consultation to ascertain if I was suitable for a FUE procedure. I didn't want to travel to Turkey and be one of the few who are not suitable.
