After starting to lose my hair in my late teens my self image suffered and I became fed up with my hair. Knowing that I could do something about it I did, firstly with HIS hair clinic in Birmingham, England. They created my desired hairline and I was happy with the result however the shaved head look grew old on me quick. I used Longveta to arrange my ht and was taken to see Dr. Karadeniz. I had wanted a FUE procedure but after he initially tried he said that he couldn't do it due to the curled nature of my hair. So in the end I had an FUT procedure. Although it wasn't what I wanted I respect that he didn't lie to me. This review is a few years post op and I do have a full head of hair, however his coverage isn't great and artistically with regards to my ethnicity he has given me the wrong hairline which is too high and thin. The scar on the back of head is hideous and doesn't allow me to wear my hair short. I can't shave my hair below a '3' with clippers. With all that said though I don't regret my ht but I wouldn't go with Longveta in hindsight. Medical tourism is solely about the money and it was most obvious in my experience.

Hello LondonLj3000,

Thank you for your interesting review!

I have to admit that I have never heard a patient saying that he got a full head of hair from a hair transplant procedure and that he does not regret having it done, but at the same time rating the experience so negatively. It is not clear to me why your experience was so horrible; I would like to learn the reasons for it.

It is also interesting that you never contacted us about your complaints for three years and then suddenly appeared with a controversial review online.

You are mentioning that your hairline was designed higher than you wanted. This may be true, as the design in hair surgery is not just a line drawn at the forehead. It includes considering the donor capacity and possible future hair loss, so that the patient ends up with the most natural result in the long term. Designing a low hairline, while having to leave a huge area empty behind it is certainly not to the patients benefit. Every experienced and ethical surgeon in the world knows these concepts and accepts negotiating with the patient in order to convince him to have a lower hairline, for his own benefit. Surgeons don't charge differently according to where the hairline is placed and thus have no personal benefits in doing so.

FUT (strip surgery) is frequently the best surgical method for Afro-patients and with patients that have a curly hair root. As can be seen in other patients that I did, these patients almost always had FUT.

Why don't you share with us your before pictures and the pictures of your FUT scar so the public can evaluate more the results of your hair transplant?

Lastly, you have mentioned that the service was impersonal and rushed. Are you sure you are not confusing us with another experience that you had somewhere else? I am known to be one of the most hands on hair surgeons in Turkey. I not only did all the surgeries myself in the last three years, but I also did all consultations, personal communications with my patients and I am unique for what I have been doing in my market, versus the majority of clinics in Turkey that are known as 'technician clinics'. There has not been a single procedure in my life that was rushed and it is know that I give every effort in keeping the standards of surgery at the highest.

Although I have to respect every opinion coming from my patients, your review does not reflect what really happens to my patients and I find it to be very unfair.

There is still hope, do some good research and find your self a doctor who will do your hairline the way you want it. I seen before and after pictures of people with your hair loss type and they end up with great density and temple work so it looks good.
