Dr. Tas has completely changed my life. I literally burst into tears when I had my cast removed and saw my new nose in the mirror because for the first time in my life I saw a reflection that was beautiful and not overwhelmed by a misshapen nose staring back at me.
I have been unhappy with my nose since around age 12. When I was 26 I had a rhinoplasty done in NY and was initially happy with the results until eventually my nose began shifting and the tip began to droop down. Essentially my nose reverted back to the same miserable shape (if you click my profile I have a review of this ordeal). I returned to this doctor hoping for a revision but was told my nose looked great and that if he made it any smaller it would "fall of my face."
I was fortunate enough to be traveling to Turkey this past fall and had consultations with several doctors. However, Dr. Tas was heads and shoulders above all of the other doctors. He had a clear plan of how he would change my nose and offered me simulation photos of how I would look once he finished his work. I thought the photos looked great but was more impressed with his explanation of how he would actually achieve this.
Prior to the surgery I met again with Dr. Tas, at least 30 before photos were taken then he marked what he would do for the surgery and took an additional 30 something photos along with a video of my nose in order to "observe the shadows light make" on my nose. Honestly Dr. Tas is obsessive about his work in the best way possible. He is a perfectionist and a master.
The recovery was actually absolutely miserable. I had my deviated septum corrected and that led to significant pain I didn't experience during my first rhinoplasty. I didn't realize for instance that my teeth would be in pain as that nerve that connects to roof of mouth and four front teeth is sometimes damaged during the surgery /swelling. So I had severe tooth pain. Dr. Tas also took a graft of cartilage from my ribcage to rebuild my nose and my ribs were also in extreme pain. Having had a rhinoplasty before that was completely painless I was shocked by the pain I was in. However, I would of course do it all over again. I only mention the pain for those who might be considering traveling to Turkey by themselves, I would recommend coming with a friend or family member. I did manage it on my own but if I knew the pain involved I would have insisted my boyfriend be there for my recovery.
Other important things to note, the fees must be paid in cash euros, so anticipate that (this was in an insane headache for me as I was an American traveling overseas, no real easy access to my money as cash, I needed to be sent money wires of small amounts spaced out over time so as to not be flagged fraudulent). But again, if you're planning this in advance and not randomly getting a nose job revision on vacation like me then this shouldn't be a problem!
Despite these difficulties I would do this nose job a thousand times over. It has completely changed my self image and boosted my self esteem. I was so fixated on my nose previously it was all I could see when I looked in the mirror. Now I look in the mirror and truly feel beautiful. I could not be more happy or say thank you to Dr. Tas enough. Go to Turkey! Dr. Tas will change your life too!!

Before photos

Here are some before photos, primary issues were deviated septum, a droopy/bulbous tip, "smile deformity," where the tip of my nose drooped down even more when smiling, wide uneven nostrils, and a profile that was too prominent with a bridge that was too high /severe (masculine) for my face.

Thanks for sharing your photos and story. I'm excited to see the afters. How are you feeling? Much swelling?

I'm glad you have the results you wanted, it definitely looks smaller, but personally I would give anything to have your old nose, it looks totally fine to me...

It is interesting the things people dislike about themselves that others might not notice at all! I posted a couple more after photos, again there is quite a significant difference to me but maybe not others.

Oh no, there DEFINITELY a big difference! What I meant was that even your old nose would already be good enough for me, but for sure, the new one looks even better, lucky you! I looked at your other pics, and my nose actually has similar problems (except even more pronounced ugh), so I'll consider Dr Tas for revision!

Dear member of our family, can't thank enough how your words reassure patients in a healing phase and inform in advance the patients what to expect after the surgery. Your contribution is very precious. Warmest regards, Elvira an assistant of Assoc.Prof.Dr.TAS

Recovery

Attached are some more photos. First, shows the marks Dr. Tas made the day prior to surgery that clearly shows how crooked my nose was. The last few photos show 1) immediately after cast removal and 3 and 5 days after cast removal. I wanted to show how insanely swollen my nose was to reassure people who also came out of a rhinoplasty with a wide nose and assure them it is in fact temporary! Having had a rhinoplasty before I knew that this wasn't the final shape of my nose but it can be difficult to come out of surgery with a nose wider than the one you started with BUT remember it WILL go down in size.

Weird. I really liked your old nose. But of course,it’s about what you like. So congrats!
