Reviews you can trust, from real people like you.
How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

I put the Doctors name wrong.
I put at the top of my review Dr Cenk, when his name is Dr Acar.
Not the Best Experince, Wasted Experience
Review.
- [ ] I contacted Dr Cenk several months ago for the hair transplatation. I was looking for something very specific and included with my initial consult photos showing my current hair growth and where I would like my new hairline to be. I wanted a very modest lowering of my hairline as I have not suffered any hairloss. I just wanted a lower hairline.
I was e mailed back with a price of 1700 pounds so I was very happy with that. I then spoke to Mike on the phone. I did find him to be a little intense. He didn’t really allow me to get an word in edgeways and spoke over me quite a lot but I just put that down to him being very passionate about his work. He was in many ways relatable.
I went ahead with booking my flights and confirmed the surgery date, approaching the surgery date I sent a follow up e mail confirming everything in which he denied that I ever sent him photos of what I had wanted. So, I then sent another e mail. The price then changed from 1700 to 2600. Which was way out of my price range. I would not have booked my flights if this was the original price quoted.
I then told him of the situation and asked him to confer with the doctor as I wanted to and i quote “any surprises when I got there”. The message I received back after that was no more than one line wrong and very vague. Which left me feeling very skeptical. But given the fact I had already booked my flights and that the doctor seemed to have many reviews and decided to still go.
I arrived in Turkey and everything went smoothly from the airport, to transfers and check in at the hotel, the next am I went to the hospital, they give you sedatives and blood tests before you even see the doctor which I thought was a bit alarming but they all seem nice enough.
I went to meet the Dr, very pleasant, spoke english better than I do and he drew on my new hairline. I was then taken to another room where i was then told it would be 2600. I explained the previous comments to Mike and then they lowered the price to 2300, still out of my price range. So, I cancelled the surgery.
Leaving the clinic I was really upset but I could not help but notice the amount of youngsters, there is room after room of them. It resembles more like a transplant factory than a clinic. The package states ‘doctor supervised’ but it would be very difficult for one doctor to supervise at least 10 different people with different severites of hair loss at one time. These people are super young performing such a intensive and difficult surgery. I’m sure they do a great job but if you were the one unlucky one at least to be unfortunate to suffer a problem i’d hate to see what would happen.
I would proceed with caution. On closer inspection the majority of the reviewers only have one review and anyone can publish a review without fuss, as I am now. So it is very easy to manipulate the reviews.
Whilst I am not accusing the team of having fake or misleading reviews I would say to anyone to proceed with caution, there is definitely an element of unprofessionalism that is in play here, don’t let your desperation to have the surgery done overshadow your instincts. Sometimes what works out to be cheap will only cost your more in the long term.
