Reviews you can trust, from real people like you.
How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

I have been seeing Dr. Michalak for over 10 years...

I have been seeing Dr. Michalak for over 10 years due to numerous squamous, basal cell and atypical nevi (moles). I continue to see him annually for a number of reasons:
1) His surgical skills are to the highest standards. With as many as 10 facial skin cancer removals in one year, others can not see any of the incisions even if looking. The cancers were removed the first time. He selects the surgical method for the best result including Mohs when warranted.
2) All of his staff are very professional, polite, customer oriented and meets his standards for quality personnel.
3) The Physician Assistants (PA) are VERY thorough on the body scans/inspections to ensure any potential issues are caught early. Dr. Michalak looks at all biopsies and obtains outside second opinions when warranted to ensure there is a proper diagnosis. If something 'pops up' that concerns me - it is easy to make an appointment in the short term to address it.
4) When I ask questions I receive thorough responses that answers them completely. I can also tell that Dr. Michalak stays current with recent changes/recommendations from the medical community at large (since some of my questions were in that arena).

At first one may find Dr. Michalak a little bit 'distant' in his 'bed-side-manner'. It is because he is very serious about providing the best quality service and his very professional approach. With a little bit of interaction you will find he is a good person and has lots of interests which he talks about freely.

Stacey Bryant is my PA and has been for a number of years. That consistency is important because she remembers my past visits, my skin issues, and we have developed a well earned level of trust between each of us. She is very thorough in her body skin exams yet she respects my privacy. She has caught each and every issue; squamous, basal cell and atypical nevi (moles), the first time they appear. She has a great personality that makes one feel much more comfortable right from the beginning. She has the skills, training, and experience so that when I leave I know that for the next year all will be well.
