I can’t tell you how many times I’d hear, “so, when is the baby due?” only to reply, “oh, I’m not pregnant. I’m just fat”.
After a significant weight loss, I really didn’t want surgery as my only option for removing residual belly fat. I had seen friends who had it done. I also had friends who chose an alternative non-invasive, but their abdomens looked as though they had multiple shark bites when they finished their treatments.
After reading studies from the National Institute of Health (NIH) and FDA approved non-invasive treatments, I decided on SculpSure at New Skin and Body Aesthetics in Irvine, California.
In the stunningly decorated office, and the warm and inviting staff, I had my consultation. The consultation was thorough and thoughtful. It was agreed that I would have a combination of treatments; 8 SculpSure (for the fat removal) and 4 BTL Exilis Ultra treatments (for skin tightening).
I started my first SculpSure treatment in June of 2017. Four pods in four different locations on my belly. Once the pods were attached, the treatments began. The pod sensation cools then warms, then cools. As the time progresses with the treatment, the sensation intensifies. The best way I could describe the feeling was a cool air-condition blast, followed by tiny ants marching with tiny fiery sneakers…and back to the cool air-condition blast.
Since the warm sensation isn’t something we normally feel, I can understand how some may perceive the warmth as burning. But when I touched my skin after the pod was removed, it wasn’t sensitive like a burn, it felt like normal skin.
When I completed the first treatment, I followed the instructions carefully: drink plenty of fluids; avoid alcohol; gently massage the area in the following days after treatment; check for nodules… etc. The caring staff from New Skin and Body Aesthetics called the following day to check to see how I was doing. I felt great! Four weeks later, I could see a difference in the way may clothes fit and I was ready for my next series of treatments.
Once the SculpSure treatments were finished, the BTL Exilis Ultra was used to help tighten the skin. The BTL Exilis Ultra felt like someone rubbing a warm, smooth river stone over my tummy.
Both the SculpSure and the BTL Exilis Ultra treatments were a tremendous help. I could go on and on how happy I am with the results. I can absolutely recommend SculpSure and BTL Exilis Ultra as an alternative for surgery as well as the amazing and remarkable staff at New Skin and Body Aesthetics. For me, the best results are not having anyone ask me anymore “when’s the baby due?”

Thanks. Are you saying you had 4 paddles 8 different times? They must have moved around different areas? How many times were area? It sure seems expensive but no denying the great results! Congrats!

Hi quofmiwok! Thank you for your compliments! I had both upper and lower abs treated with the 4 applicators in 4 areas; two treatments on each area. I had a total of 8 sessions. Picture it like this... a square with 4 applicators in upper left, then upper right, then lower left, and then lower right. This happened in one day.... then weeks later we repeated the same process. Yes, it was a long day to move the 4 applicators, 4 times, (and to then do it again weeks later), but it was worth it! I hope that answered your question. Good luck!

Thanks! So you didn't feel that the Sculpsure caused any skin shrinkage? Many say it does, but some say no. How long did you wait after the 2nd sculpsure before doing the Exillis? I'll have to read more about that. I have more skin issues than fat at this point. (Just finished a 2nd treatment of middle belly.)

Hi qofmiwok! For me, it was more about fat removal. I could plank all day and still be thick in the middle. I actually did the BTL Exilis Ultra in between the SculpSure treatments and after. The BTL Exilis Ultra, depending on the type of wand used, can remove fat AND tighten skin, or just tighten skin (for instance under the neck, or for "bat wings"). So, ever other week I'd use the BTL Exilis Ultra, excluding if it was the same week as a SculpSure week.
For me, drinking lots of water and using a cellulite/fascia scrubby in the shower helped, I think with some of the skin tightening... But the BTL Exilis Ultra is a very power tool for tightening.
Good luck!

I had both upper and lower abs treated with SculpSure. 4 applicators in 4 areas; two treatments on each area. I had a total of 8 sessions. My treatment sessions were in June 2017 and again in July 2017. After the last SculpSure treatment, I had used the BTL Exilis Ultra for skin tightening (which also had a bit of fat burning as part of the process). The photos you see were from June 2017 and December 2017. So, to answer your question, I had two appointments for SculpSure, about 4-6 weeks apart... and followed the post treatment program (plenty of water, avoid alcohol, massage treatment areas...etc.), faithfully.
Again, I wish you much success to you and your treatments! I think you will enjoy your results.
