Was at the dentist last month and while the assistant was looking at my teeth she suggested I may be a candidate for Invisalign. Had braces as a teenager...now 30 years old. Got molds taken last month and was advised that I am a candidate for the "Express." Went yesterday and got first two sets of trays. Teeth are sore, but would not say it is painful. Before the initial trays were put in my mouth there was some work done to increase the space between teeth. Not pleasant but no pain either. So far so good. We'll see how the teeth look in 20 weeks!
Updated on May 20, 2008 Have completed two sets of trays (out of ten). Yes, they are a little sore the first day or two of a new tray, but the inconvenience is minimal. I wear them all day, except for lunch, and take them out when I return hom from work. I then eat dinner and enjoy a couple smokes, then put the trays back in after an hour or two. Overall it is much better than regular braces (I had them when I was an adolescent) and I am looking forward to the final results.
