At only 25 I was told I had to lose weight (a lot of weight) or I was going to die young... So I did what any person who is scared would do... I changed my whole life. and much to my surprise this time it worked and I lost over 150 pounds in 1 1/2!!! I have been able to get it off but have never been able to get my skin/tummy flat. I will now have a tummy tuck to finally reach my dreams!! 12/2/14 can't be here quick enough!!

I'm pretty excited.. Nervous... Emotional about my surgery being less than a month away!!! I have tons of pre-op stuff next week and I think that will make it even more real. Still sitting at my normal weight and have some stuff ready for the stay with my grandmother and aunts after surgery! Anyone who has real advice please feel free to comment! I know it's going to hurt so I have my self thinking the worst so I'm ready for it. Thanks for following my journey!

On the flatttt side!!! Day 2
We I've now been home for about 12 hours but yesterday I was sleeping and in pain so I couldn't update you. First when I woke up in recovery I was in so much pain I was crying. That was pretty scary for me as it make it hard for me to breath. I was in recovery where U can't see your family for over 3 hours and normally it's 30 mins. My wonderful nurse figured out it has a lot to do with them laying me completely flat.. Once they put a pillow under knees it stopped the worst pain and then it got to the point where I could stand it. I had my tummy tuck for medical reasons so mine was at the hospital I work at and they took top notch care of me. They were thiniking about keeping me a night in the hospital but I fought that because I really didn't want to stay. I thought I would do a lot better if I went home and could be in my recliner. The only other time I was on terrible pain for walking from the house and sitting down.
I've been able to eat a drop of my grandmas wonderful chili and other than that I'm not hungry at all.
So for the question most ppl have been asking... Pain levels. If I stay on my pills every 4 hours it's like a dull ache. Staying up and sitting down is very painful but it's short lived. Over all at first it's very painful.. More than I thought but then it settled down. Coughing hurts too but that's normal. The only other thing I can they you is HOLD YOUR DRAINS TIGHT OR HAVE SOME HOLD THEM FOR YOU!!! I dropped one and it pulled out a bit. It is still bleeding and mad oh man it hurts!!!

Looking good girl! And you are right, the first few days everything is pretty painful, so staying on MEDS is good. Just remember to take your stool softeners too. Remember to stay bent over a little for the first three weeks, and take walks around inside (using a walker if you have one) every couple of hours...it REALLY helps mobility and keeps you from getting blood clots OR too stiff/sore. Keep up the great recovery! :-DSuzy
