Pearl Fractional for Lines Above and Below Mouth & Eye Wrinkles

I had the Pearl Fractional done a week ago today. I am not sure of the results as of yet. I had the procedure done mainly for lines above and below my mouth area. I have good skin but am 50 years of age so do have wrinkles around the eyes as well.
The whole procedure wasn't very painful. Maybe a 2 on a scale of 1-5. I had numbing cream put on my face for 45 minutes. I also had a hose with very very cold air to blow on the area as the fractional was being used. I was very bloody and swollen the first evening but the bleeding stopped by the next morning. I was bright red until a few days ago. I used the vinegar/water rinse every hour for five days.Followed by vaseline. I have now started using products given to me by my provider. I still use the vinegar wash when my face starts to feel itchy.
The redness is still around but I can go out in public now. I just look a bit sunburned. The swelling is gone now.
Overall it was a pretty easy experience. Not something I would look forward to doing again but not as bad as I was expecting. The lines have improved a bit but not as much as I thought they would. My provider told me to wait until I am three months out to see what the final results will be.
I may need to get some filler as well but I am going to wait to see if it is needed. I would be interested to hear if anyone else had this procedure for lip lines and if they saw better results months after the procedure.

It has been nearly a month since I had the Pearl Fractional treatment and I would say it was worth it. I have healed completely and my skin does look new and refreshed. The lines around my mouth are improving every day. I might still have a small amount of filler in that area but overall I am pleased with the improvement. I do think anyone interested in this procedure should plan on having at least five days of down time in order to heal. I could not have gone back to work before that time but I have a public service job. I was very careful about doing the vinegar wash and putting vaseline on my face. I kept that process going even after my doctor told me I could stop. It helped with the itching. I was ready to go back to work after 10 days. I could have gone back before that time but my face was still pretty red. The concealer they gave me to try really didn't hide the redness. I am excited to see if the lines around my face improve even more. My doctor is telling me to wait on filler for a couple of months to see my final results. I did not have the procedure done beneath my eyes although I have seen others that have had good results in that area. But I have also seen some complain that the procedure made their wrinkles worse. Overall the minimal amount of pain was worth it. I would encourage anyone who is interested in this procedure to do their homework so they will know what they are getting themselves into. I would also encourage them to research their doctor because I think that really makes a difference.
