Well, my post op visit went well. The Dr. said everything looked great. However, I'm still in some pain (I know it takes time and I can't wait for the pain to totally go away). I noticed I have more pain on my right side then the left. Any suggestions on how to ease the pain? I've reduced my meds to motrin...I didn't like the feeling drunk from the vicodin and I returned to work today. So the vicodin was a definite no no. I go back on 3/7 for my second post op visit. Hopefully by then, I won't have any pain. Also, any alternatives to this sports bra? This is so uncomfortable and I find myself unhooking it just for some relief.

I'm african american and am considering getting implants. A big concern of mine is scarring. As you know, we tend to scar (and even keloid) more often. This makes me nervous. Did you have a lot of scarring? Is it noticeable? If it's not too much to ask, could you post pictures of the scars now that it's been a few months. Thanks.

I completely understand your nervousness. I was nervous as well, but as long as you do your homework and if you don't normally have issues with scarring ,you should be ok. I did not have alot of scarring. I have a tattoo above my right breast and he noticed how well it looks and believed that I wouldn't have any issue with scarring. He gave me an ointment (similar to Mederma) to use daily for the scarring. Honestly, I haven't used it consistently, but the scarring is still barely visible. I'll post more recent pics soon.
I say if you're serious about it, go for it. I'm so glad that I did. My clothes fit better, which has definitely boosted my confidence!

Well dinner last night wasn't too good. I was in a little more pain and I just wanted to lay in the bed. I feel like I'm more sore and stiff and the pain is worse. Hopefully, today is a better day.....I'm taking it easy. No going out for me! But on a good note, my breasts look great. No bruising!

Well, I'm feeling alot better. I decided to take 2 vicodin instead of the 1 and boy, did that make a big difference. I'm not as stiff and not as sore. I'm continuing to do my stretches and use ice packs.
You're looking really great! Here's what some doctors have to say about bras after breast augmentation. Please keep keeping us posted. :)
