Almost 6 months........measure as a A cup now...feel deformed
The negative:
- dog ears (which she did not even address options to fix at the last visit)
- the SIZE, really I do not have a BMI of 18, I do not look good with an A cup size on my 26 BMI body. As a plastic surgeon, this is one thing I expected of her - an appreciation and pursuit of aesthetic proportion.
- the lumps and bumps, which I am told are fat necrosis. I have an extremely abnormal and deformed breast contour (look at the photos, these are the ones from her office). From my research, this amount of fat necrosis is often technique related, and to say that I have multiple pockets of necrosis speaks to her (lack of) expertise. My breasts are now almost entirely made of fat necrosis. Her response, "Massage will be your friend".
I did NOT expect to come out looking like an 18-year old beauty queen, I expected to come out looking like the pictures that they showed me at my office visit. I expected to have smaller (C to D cup), proportionate breasts - just like the photos she showed me. I honestly feel that I was falsely informed, I don't think she did any of the surgeries on the women of the photos that I was shown.
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SURGEON, Dr. JESSICA GILLESPIE.
I am still ambivalent about the surgery itself. If I did not feel so deformed I would probably feel better about the surgery. But as it is, I now need reconstructive surgery, which is over $8,000. I cannot afford that so I am stuck with living with her mistakes.
No real changes
Weight - down 6.2 lbs. from pre-surgery weight.
Back ache almost gone
I forgot to take Aleve last night, and took my last scheduled dose this am. NSAIDs do cause water retention, so maybe I'll start loosing some fluid now. My breasts still slosh when I lie down so I know there is some serous fluid yet to be absorbed.
Provider Review
I really like her bedside manner, and her suture skills (incsions look nice) but she is inexperienced. She took off more than she said (740/760g instead of 600g), and made me smaller - even after asking if I wanted to be bigger or smaller (I said bigger). I understand that medicine in not an exact science, but she went a bit too small (she even admitted it). The healing (scars) around the nipples look good so far; I have no sensation on the right nipple/areola complex. I am about 4 months out and she took me from a DDD (almost DDDD) cup to an A. Yes, an A cup. I feel malformed with lumps and bumps, I am completely non-proportional. It will be over 8,000 to get it fixed.
