Before getting pregnant with my beautiful, sweet...

Before getting pregnant with my beautiful, sweet little boy, I was a perky full C cup and LOVED my body! I was one of those girls who never had to watch what I ate or work out, and still had an hourglass figure. Needless to say, the arrival of my angel changed ALL of that! Suddenly I had stretch marks on my stomach from constantly having to lay on my left side during 3 weeks of bed rest, I had loose stretched out skin on my abdomen and that oh so lovely post c-section pooch. So for the first time in my life, I joined a gym, got a personal trainer, worked my ass off, and after 18 months I lost all the weight, but now I have a very different body. Instead of my previous hourglass shape, I now have an athletic body which I love, but the unfortunate casualties of my new lifestyle were my boobs, which had become a very sad, saggy A/B cup with no volume on top! My self esteem tanked because I couldn't fill out any tops, and felt like my stomach stuck out more than my boobs. I started looking into having a breast aug in October 2014, and came across my doctor's website. I was intrigued by the 24 hour recovery program and started to research him more, looking into reviews, before & afters, etc... I could not find one negative review anywhere! So I called and scheduled a consult in December. The patient coordinator told me about this site and I am so happy to have found it! It has been so helpful through every step of this process, so thank you ladies, for sharing your stories! The consult went great and I knew immediately that I had chosen the right surgeon. We decided on 450cc mod plus round, under the muscle, crease incision (I am 5'2, 125 lbs 36B). I scheduled my surgery before I left the office!

Fast forward two weeks to the day I told my mom about my surgery. To say it didn't go well was an understatement. I'm very close with my mom, but she did not approve and the conversation left me second guessing my decision. Ladies, if I have any advice for you at all, it is to do what makes you happy and don't let anyone make you feel like it's wrong. Although my mom didn't approve, she has been taking great care of me and my son while my husband works. I was so afraid she would be upset that I stressed myself out but it was so unnecessary :)

I had my surgery on Friday January 23. Surgery went smoothly but before I left, the nurse noticed my left breast was significantly swelling and had the doctor come check it. Turns out I had a hematoma, so I went back to the OR to have it repaired. I am so glad they caught it before I went home!

The first few days were definitely an adjustment. My chest was SO tight it was almost hard to breathe. Not a lot of pain though! It's been hard not snuggling with my son but he's been very good and my parents and husband have taken great care of both us.

I'm now at the end of day 5 and every day gets a little easier. It is definitely better to get up and move around than to sit around because it keeps everything from tightening up.

Dr Fata has been great. I love my new boobs so far and they are going to be perfect once they settle!

I totally spaced taking a before pic :( my husband and I actually talked about that after my surgery. I will post a pic from new years eve this year, I don't have a bra on and you can sort of see how nonexistent they were :)

I'm trying to decide on whether I should go somewhere between 420 to 450 or I'd that will be too big.

My best advice is to try on the sizers. 30ccs isn't going to make much difference at all in the end result. My ps recommended 425 or 450, and when I tried them on I didn't see much difference, so I went with the larger size. 150-200 ccs is generally the difference in one cup size if that helps! Just do what makes you feel comfortable :)

Thank you so much for that! I'll keep that in mind. I go next Thursday for my fitting and to make my surgery appt, so I cannot wait for that. :-) You've been very helpful though. I'm glad I found your review...we are about the same size and height. I have a lot of sagging skin though, due to having a baby and breastfeeding, so I feel like I might have to go bigger to lift that skin without getting a lift too.....we shall see.

Measurements

I decided to see what size I'm measuring... 36DDD! I think once the swelling subsides I'll be more like a DD, which is exactly what I wanted! The discomfort was much less today. I've been able to lift my 20 month old up onto my lap, into his high chair, and up onto a bed no problem! I still have 5 more days off work so hopefully each day continues to get easier :)
