Incisional Double Eyelid Surgery at Marble Plastic Surgery
I am writing a review on my experience doing incisional double eyelid surgery with Marble Plastic Surgery.
I contacted Marble Plastic Surgery in December 2024 via WhatsApp and was greeted by a professional English translator, Ms Min who provided detailed explanation on the procedure I was interested in. She was extremely helpful and answered all my questions promptly, making me feel prepared for the surgery I booked for late March 2025. Since I was flying over on the day of the surgery, Ms Min was also extremely thoughtful as she enquired my flight time to arrange an appointment time suited to my circumstances.
When I first visited the clinic, Ms Min gave me a warm welcome and explained the step by step process of what was going to happen before and after the surgery. Shortly after, I met my eye surgeon, Dr Yong Hoon Suh for an eye consult to discuss the desired shape I wanted to achieve, followed by what was possible and what his recommendations were. Dr Suh was honest and very professional with his work, ensuring that the desired shape of cut is achieved.
As for the pain tolerance, I was thankfully not able to feel any at the start of the surgery as I was administered sedative prior to local anaesthetic on my eyes. The nurses and translator in the room were also extremely caring, staying by my side, reassuring me and making me feel safe throughout the surgery. The only part that hurt was during ptosis correction when my eyes were required to be fully open to accurately assess and achieve symmetry for my eyelids - all of which was explained to me prior to the surgery.
Since the surgery was a minor one, post-surgical care was quite minimal (cleaning the affected areas with saline solution and adding a thin layer of ointment). There is a pharmacy located on the first floor (Marble Plastic Surgery is on the third floor) so you can purchase those items prior/after the surgery very conveniently.
The next day after the surgery, I was able to go out and walk around without any pain at all. I did not have to stay in bed and was able to continue my holiday as per normal.
I had to visit the clinic two days later for a review with Dr Suh, and a week later from my surgery date to remove the stitches. I felt mild stings during the stitch removal but it was a rather quick process as the nurse was very experienced. The last step was to rest under a deswelling light machine and that was the end of the whole process.
Pictures attached show before, after (right after the stitches have been removed) and 2 weeks after the surgery. I am happy that I went with Marble Plastic Surgery as I placed my trust in Dr Suh’s diligence in perfecting his work, as well as Ms Min’s professionalism and warmth throughout the whole process from the start when I enquired up to the end when I had my stitches removed!
