WORTH IT
This tattoo is 2 years old and unfortunately I hate how big it is, it makes me depressed and anxious ( currently seeking professional help) I have removed the majority of the shading in only 2 sessions using picosure but it is still far too big, I am seriously contemplating full removal as I feel so down. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I feel like I have ruined everything

It looks fantastic! I also understand your feelings though as unfortunately I have my full arm done and its extremely difficult to hide your arms.
Knowing that much was removed by just 2 sessions gives me huge hope caise a lot of mine is shading as well. Will you have no signs of what lil reminance you can see left of shading now?

I know how you feel, my arm tattoo is making me so depressed and I've only had it for two months. Today was my first session to have it remove. So don't be depressed bc you're not alone there are many out there with the same feeling. I hope you keep sharing your journey to have your tattoo removed

Session 3
3weeks poste session 3 on shading, still not 100% sure if I am going to start full removal in September, the tattoo still feels too big and bold even with the majority of the shading removed, still causing quite a lot of anxiety

It's a long process. Try not to be too anxious about it. As time goes on, you will really forget that it is even there. At least you aren't removing an ex's name like me :))))

For what it's worth, now that the shading is mostly gone, I think the tattoo looks fantastic! It's a beautiful piece and when I look at the pictures with shading vs without shading, I think it looks so much better without because the shading seemed to take away from the main piece. That being said, if you're still uncomfortable with it, then tattoo removal is probably the right thing to do. It will be a long process with the rest of it because lines tend to take longer to fade than shading does. My tattoo has deep lines and I've had 15 treatments (3 q-switched and 12 picosure) to date and it's still visible. I'm actually trying out the new Cutera Enlighten this upcoming Monday and I'm hoping that it will knock out the rest of the ink fairly quickly. I have a review that you can check out to see how the picosure works on black ink on the back. With enough time and patience, I do believe that full removal is possible.

I personally LOVE your tattoo. And without the shading, it looks even better. I think it is great. But I also get where you are, and hope you can find some ease in your anxiety.

Wow I also LOVE your tattoo!! Looks so much better without the shading. Anyway, it does look like your body responded well to the laser so it the rest will probably be possible to remove as well if you go for removal.

I agree with what everyone else says, your tattoo looks great without the shading. Thank you for keeping us posted on your progress, it's great to see that partial removal can really make a difference. I know for myself, I jumped right into full removal, and looking back, I should have only removed the wind bars and then evaluated how I felt -- hindsight is 20-20.

Thank you for joining us and sharing your personal story...if anyone understand, it's us.
I'm really sorry to hear that your tattoo is causing your such distress, kudos to you for reaching out for help. I have been there and fully understand how much of an emotional toll this can have on you. Hey, listen....I know a tattoo that you regret is a tough pill to swallow but the good news is that you can and you are doing something about it. Look how far you've come already — all the shading is gone and one treatment at a time the rest of your tattoo will fade away. Chin up, stay strong. ☺
