I have just paid my $500 deposit for a Tummy tuck and a BBL revision. I will be flying to Miami for the get it right package.
I had a BBL less than a year ago and it looks CRAZY. I was given a BIG boxed butt at the top and I hate it! I have been very unsuccessful in having the surgeon fix this so I'm going to Miami with hopes of pure beauty. Im excited and cant wait.

Good Morning,
I just spoke with the office that I'm to have my surgery at and they're telling me that I would be able to return home to CA from Florida in 4 days after a TT and BBL. They also said that I could stay at a local hotel. Does this sound correct or safe?

Good Afternoon Manza,
I do not know anything about the specifics on recovering from BBL. I only know the steps of the procedure from watching video and reading. I have never had one. I did; however have a tummy tuck with a hysterectomy. So, I was in the hospital for 3 days with that. Mostly because of the hysterectomy, as it was an open incision (As opposed to laparoscopic). At any rate, I personally, would think that having these two procedures at once would be difficult since they are cutting on you both front and back. I don't see any way you can get comfortable without putting pressure on one or the other operative site. I also know nothing about your personal history : age, health, any other medical issues you might have, etc. These factors must be taken into consideration when assessing how a patient might tolerate and recover from any given procedure.... If you have done your homework, and chosen a board certified plastic surgeon who routinely performs these surgeries and has excellent results, then it would follow that he has given you accurate information about being able to fly post surgery.

On a personal note, I would never have those two surgeries at the same time, for the reason I mentioned: Not being able to get comfortable without putting pressure on one of the operative sites. I would also never fly to another location to have a surgical procedure done unless I had absolutely no other choice. I think it is always safer for a patient to stay closer to their home where they can see their surgeon in person and receive post operative care without hesitation should a complication occur. That being said, have you made arrangements for another ps to follow you post operatively? This is very important to the safety and success of your surgery.
Also, how long is your flight, and is anyone going with you?

Please let me know. Your situation is a bit concerning to me.

I would've been flying alone. I have since cancelled the surgery as too many things were concerning to me. Outpatient surgery for a TT doesn't sound remotely ok.
The office suggested that I stay in a local hotel and hire a caregiver from Craigslist

Dear Manza220,
Well, I have to say that IMO you did the right thing. I wouldn't have gone through with the out of town surgery, either. Hiring someone from Craigslist does concern me also. I do not think that is where I would look for a qualified medical professional. I would call a Home Health Agency in your area if you need aftercare. Even a CNA would probably have more medical training than just any old caregiver from Craigslist.
At least you know that a medical agency that employs licensed caregivers such as CNA's, LVN's or LPN's, and RN's has to check licenses by law; And there are other standards of care these trained caregivers must adhere to. So, no matter where you have your surgery, If you need aftercare at home, then I would call a local Home Health Agency.
At any rate, if you are still interested in getting your BBL fixed and having a tummy tuck, you might go to the tt forum and see if there are any members who have had surgery by plastic surgeons in your local area. If not, then you might have some local consults and then investigate your doctor online. RS may have reviews on those surgeons. You might also check other ps websites.

Do not give up! I am confident that there is a doctor within your reach who can perform a surgical correction for you and give you the tummy tuck you want.
Keep looking!

Good Luck,
Txmom

I had my surgery in November 2017 and the recovery is serious. I would do it again for these wonderful results. For almost 3 weeks I couldn’t stand up straight which caused my back to hurt. My stomach has had really hard areas but they’re softening up as time goes on. I did however purchase embrace scar thearapy which has been great in vanishing the scar. To date, I can wear a bikini and it’s still a bit tight but it’s wonderful. So glad I made the choice to do it

I researched and talked to other peo0le who have had the procedure before making my final decision to go forward if I had saw your comments sooner I would have answered for you as there are many woman who have gotten both done at the same time and recovered successfully yes it would be slightly uncomfortable but that discomfort comes with any surgery staying at a recovery home is better than a hotel and costs about the same.purchasing both a booty pillow and a lawn chair where you can cur a hole for your butt or have the nurse do it will help you can lay on that which will keep pressure of your stomach and butt or you can do what An associate of.mune dis who got here done with dr. Miami and sleep in your side adjusting every 2 hours

Michael Rodriguez can do it at a more hospital like setting if that's what your concern is over the site normally used but with him you have to pay the price of Anaesthesia directly to the hospital (1800) bringing the grand total to 10300 but Stover has more experience and her incision scars are impeccable donr give up

Surgery was Yesterday

My surgery was yesterday and it hurts! I had lipoabdominalplasty with fascia tightening. Dr. Greenberg was great and his staff was nice. The night before, sleep was foreign. The anxiety pills that were prescribed were much needed to take the edge off. The first part of the procedure was the Lipo, which was performed AWAKE! Watching the fat being sucked out in real time was awesome to see. Being awake is hard though. The entire numbing process took an hour as Dr, Greenberg injected tumescent (not sure of the spelling). This solution burned quite a bit but Dr. Greenberg said my numbing hurt more than usual because of my previous Lipo and built up scar tissue. The Lipo took 2.5 hours and began to wear off, which made the Lipo a bit painful toward the end. For the second portion of the procedure, I was not under general anesthesia, I had twilight sedation. This was less harsh on the body I was told & it cuts down on the recovery time. I had the drainless procedure and it’s gushing a lot. Im sleeping in a lazy boy recliner but i am uncomfortable! Let’s see what the days ahead bring.
