Reviews you can trust, from real people like you.
How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Long overdue update; Currently healing from Brachio Revision

Hey everyone,
I haven't updated in a while as life had other plans for me and my family. I developed symptoms of Graves Disease over Thanksgiving of last year, and I spent months with my endocrinologist getting that under control. Then, in February of this year, my husband passed away, and that has completely turned my life upside down.
He had an accident at home, and I've been trying to put the pieces of my life back together since this happened. I don't have the words to explain how dark the world has been for me the last eight months, but as part of my healing process I've been journaling privately, and it reminded me of my entries here. I am still here, so please forgive me for my absence if any of my followers are still reading.
For those of you that followed my journey, offered positive comments, or looked to my reviews for information, I appreciate you, and I'm sorry I was not able to provide more updates. I hope if you had your procedures or scheduled them for the future that you got the answers and information you were looking for, as well as great results.
I had my revision to my brachioplasty, and I am currently healing from that. I will likely combine all my procedures reviews and photos into one large review here on RealSelf later this week, and I will do my best to answer your questions.
One question I get asked a lot is how much did these surgeries cost, and unfortunately, I've also had some rude responses in the past from posters when I've declined to answer this question. I'm sorry that I don't want to share what I personally paid for my procedures, but there is a reason for this. I DO NOT work for my plastic surgeon, I wasn't paid to offer this review, I wasn't given a discount to write this review, and it doesn't matter what I paid anyway because it will not be the same price someone else pays. Surgery cost is determined by many factors, and your surgeon's fees are just one part of this equation. This is true no matter who you go to for plastic surgery.
Please do not ask me what I paid for my surgeries, I don't feel comfortable sharing the exact amount. People I know in real life also read my reviews, and it's no one's business but my own.
I will make the one large review with pictures later this week, and I hope you all are well. Drop me a line if you're still reading or waiting for updates, let me know how you are. <3

Final revision appointment to discuss last surgery Dec. 28th

I'm sorry I haven't been active on here lately, my life has been incredibly busy since my last procedure.
I am having a final revision appointment to plan my last surgery for revisions on my arms and any touch-up lipo on 12/28; I will post an update after that appointment with updated pictures!
I hope everyone is well!

Swell Hell and my incisions

My incisions have completely closed, I don't seem to spitting any sutures besides the one minor incident I had on my left leg near the groin. I think everyone has some degree of trouble in this area because of all the pulling!

I am officially in swell hell- I feel like my legs look bigger right now then they did a few days ago, but I have also started walking again and easing into my old workout routine, so I am sure I have some residual swelling in my tissues that has to resolve. My garment feels tight again when it felt looser last week :/ All part of the process though!

I am so excited to see how my incisions heal, as they have remained very small/fine lines, much like my LBL did....the only place I saw widening for my LBL was my vertical incision, and it was so minor I really have no issues with it. I think I am going to be very, very happy in about 4 more months!

I hope everyone is doing well! I have my second endermologie treatment today, and one more after that, and I think I'm going to purchase three or four more to help with my full body swelling...we'll see.

Let me know how you all are!

I could not ask for a better doctor! This is my third procedure with Dr. Kortesis after losing 150lbs, and I am so grateful to him for all the work he's performed, as well as his wonderful staff for taking such great care of me. My outsides finally show all the hard work I've put in to lose the weight, and I couldn't dream of going to anyone else for this. He is a true perfectionist, and cares very much about your final outcome. His entire staff has been welcoming and warm to me, and made me feel like family. I'm always greeted with a smile and by my first name, and I truly appreciate them taking the time to get to know me instead of just seeing me as another patient. I have not had a single bad experience in over a year of going to their offices. Please understand that you will wait longer in the afternoon than in the morning because the doctors are incredibly popular in the Charlotte area, and they are in high demand- they will not rush you through your appointment either so it is very much worth the wait. The family feel and individual attention is second to none, and I would not recommend anyone else for body contouring after weight loss, pregnancy, or any other reason. Go see Dr. Kortesis, you will not regret it! Thank you Dr. K!!!!
