Like most women, I'm doing this for me. I've never had breasts I liked. I vacillated in my early 20s about getting my boobs done. And after a first Botox treatment, I decided I had waited long enough. (Botox really is a plastic surgery gateway!). My surgery is in less than a week (May 23rd) My PS is wonderful- I've done my research. He even calls ME if I email him with questions. I've found the reviews so helpful, I decided to add mine. I hope I can be a service to someone!

It's as smooth than a roller coaster ride! And I'm only on day 2! Careful what you eat with the medication- nothing crazy heavy. But eat something! Yogurt seems to be working well for me :)

Surgery went great. I arrived at 9:30 and they took me back- early!!! We did all the pre-op paperwork and took many pictures. Dr. B came in and as he always does, made me feel completely at ease. We finalized the implant size (450cc). He has me talk to the OR nurse (who was probably the perfect fit as a nurse for me- sense of humor, empathetic, sincere, and knowledgeable). I felt completely confident when I assumed the position for surgery!

There was a minor issue finding a vein. So I cannot stress the importance of hydrating to anyone out there prepping!

I was under quickly. And when I woke up, they were in there. I ate some saltines, drank some water and took pain meds. But honestly, I felt fine. I went to the bathroom and got dressed. I was thrilled I could pull up my own pants.

We drive home and here I am 7 hours later- watching a dumb movie!

I've been drinking tons of water. I ate an apple and some pretzels. I've peed about 5 times. So I feel very "functioning"!

The boobs are SWOLLEN. I practically have a shelf for my chin. But I'm icing and I really have no pain (or even discomfort). Pretty sure it is the pain meds. I guess reality will set in when I wean...

I did cry- got emotional talking to my sister on the phone. But my most amazing friend has been a total rock for me- acting as my nurse. I'm glad I have someone here that will make me chill out. I'm a bit afraid of making her angry- so I'm listening. :)

So far, so good. Having boobs is legit the best decision I could have made for myself. And when I update tomorrow, I'm sure I'll feel some other wacky way. Until then, I'm over the moon.

Water, food and other drugs! Post-up Day 1

So I felt like a champ, until I didn't. A lot of pain last night around 1 pm. I got sick multiple times. I'm pretty sure I didn't eat enough and had an antibiotic...

I slept pretty well considering I sleep in the fetal position. No more! On back!

Still drinking water like a boss. My nurse has been unreal- keeps me on point with the medication. I am walking quite a bit- mostly because I don't sit down for long periods of time. The swelling has gone down- a bit. But that could be wishful thinking. They don't feel as hard but still a pretty high level of tightness. And sometimes my arms feel strange- like I have a funny bone tingle.

Hoping for a BM today- I fear the lack of movement!!

Initially, my post-op check-in was today. But it has been slid back until Wednesday.

I love being able to share. Hopefully, I can help with some personal stories about my journey. I know many, many of you helped me! Off to pee. Contemplating a diaper with all of these bathroom trips (I kid)!
