So far i havent done anything yet. I go for my consultation May 31st, 2017. I am also doing my pre-op and deposit. First, let me say to my knowledge there are only 3 doctors in florida who do the phenol/croton oil peel. I spent at least a month researching trying to find these 3. I have decided on doctor Eberbach in hudson florida. His price is slightly higher but he is ethical. I havent met him yet and he has already shown that. This is an example,I used to smoke and i called about procedure and told them I was a smoker. They said i must quit and that i would be given a nicotine test day of procedure, that smoking cause many complications and scarring. Secondly, I live in homestead Florida and hudson is 5 hours away. I asked if we could do follow-up on Skype he said no. He needed to visibly see my face. The other 2 i spoke with one said Skype was not a problem and the other didnt even seem concerned about smoking. So you see my friends although the other 2 told me things i wanted hear i have to ask myself, "Do they have my best interest at heart?" I dont think so. So Dr. Eberbach it is unless something horrible happens at consult. Have quit smoking so i can do this. For all of you that smoke and dream of fixing something about your body kbow you can do it. For me chantix and the photos of my face with the saying of "Sure you can keep your cigarettes as long as you keep your wrinkles" "Or you can get rid of them both." He are some before pics will post more details after consult.

It would be great for your skin if you could stop smoking, also do you use sun screen? Some hair color would also look great with your new makeover

I did quit smoking May 1st 2017. I had never been a sunscreen user but use daily now. Haircolor is now strawberry blonde. So i guess its done, done, and done. Lol

did you do this peel? How was it?

Dr. Eberbach is. Accredited skilled plastic surgeon. I am one day post-op I recovered a SMAS face/neck lift. His team is highly professional. I am also going to receive. Groten peal and would only TRUST him for this procedure as well. Best of luck to you. I know you won't regret it. All positive thoughts coming your way.

Do not get a croton oil peel like I did! First of all my face swelled up so much I couldn't see at all. I had to go in hiding for 5 days as my children were scared of me. I took 3 weeks off work thinking I would have recovered. When I went back to work my face was so red everyone was asking what had happened. It didn't go away for another 6 weeks and then I go this kind of hyper pigmentation. Big spots all over my face and had to go to a dermatologist to get steroid cream which didn't resolve for another 3 months. It was a huge mistake. Don't do it.

I am sorry that your experience was so horrible. As for me i was apprised by my surgeon that their would be swelling and that redness could last up to 4 months. So i was and am not supprised by either. October 8th makes my 2 months post op date and the redness is leavind gradually as was explained to me before the procedure. At present i wear no makeup and it actually looks like I have been to beach at this point. I have used no makeup since procedure. Figured if i went around with a face full of wrinkles for the years leading up to procedure what was a lil excessive redness? For me it is a matter of balancing pros and cons. Swelling and redness temporarily versus a face full of wrinkles til i die was an easy choice. It was worth it hands down. As for hyperpigmentation. I have a face regime prescribed by surgeon and do not have that problem so i cant comment on that part. I hope things get better for you. I am sorry you are upset. Wishing ypu the best outcome.

Hi there Five Three! Happy Fourth of July! You may be getting a bit nervous with your procedure date so near. Please know I'm saying a prayer for you and really looking forward to your photos. Congrats on stopping smoking. I quit last year for my cervical fusion. It's been a year and I did it cold turkey. You have your goal in sight (your healing) so you will succeed!! I need my lip lines done but may consider the whole face depending on the cost and the pain level. Also the proximity of a qualified surgeon. Thank you for sharing with us that we may decide if this is right for us. I'm so excited for you! Prayers!

Went to my appointment for my procedure yestetday and it was cancelled. I have high blood pressure and i am on meds for it when i went to pre op june 20th it was 180 over 100. Dr E had said if it wasnt a normal reading at procedure date he would not be able to do procedure. Came back and got additional meds from pcp. Was monitoring it at firestation with paramedics for accuracy for past 2 weeks beautiful numbers 124 over 85, 111 over 77 ect. ect. Well when i get to appointment it is 180 over 120 so cancelled. Rescheduled for August 9th. Now I have to have anesthesiologists at procedure and a letter from pcp stating my bp is controlled at least when i am not at Dr. E'S. So this is where it is at for now will keep you all posted.

Oh no! So sorry that you had to be rescheduled. It probably was elevated because of your nerves but it is best not to have your procedure and take the risk. You don't want to risk stroke or heart attack. Aug. 9 is not that far away! Can't wait to see your results
July 8, 2017
Thank you. I went back to pcp today and of course bp was 127 over 82. I had to get letter from pcp that according to pcp bp was controlled and send to Eberbachs office. Got that done today. Due to bp elevation everytime i get to Eberbachs office Dr. E is bring8ng in anesthesiologists to maintain bp during procedure, so a solution has been found and August 9th will be the day. I am glad we have found solution. Thank you will post August 9th.

I'm sorry .. I know it must be disappointing.. Sounds like my BP at Dentist.. Hang in there. Your honestly has been a real eye opener for me as far as smoking goes.. Almost 24 hours since last cigarette.. had to do cold turkey. Tried the Chantix a few years ago and by day 5 I was so jumpy and irritated thought I was going to start screaming at everyone.. I have as a back up but have enlisted my son as my quitting partner
July 28, 2017
Thank you for your comment. How are you doing with the smoking? I am happy you have a quit partner. You can do it. Hang in there...
