I am scheduled for surgery with implant replacement and mesh pocket repair for June 11th. I am thinking staying a similar cc because the new inspira implants are full profile, but they are only 1cm less diameter. Should I go down a little more? 265 is the next down. I want to avoid the wide look I have, but I also think the position of the implant is causing that currently. I attached a before so you can see the difference. My breasts sit a lot lower and I have moderate rippling.

1 year- decided to switch

I may be speaking to an empty room here, but I've been scrolling the site endlessly again. I've made up my mind to go through with revision. It's time. I'm speaking with my original surgeon and also going to a couple other consultations. The outcome of my original surgery did not accomplish my goal and I'm uncomfortable mentally and physically. My nipples are so high and breasts low. I can't find a bra to fit me correctly. The whole point of the surgery was to fit in clothes better. How they look naked after surgery was more important than in clothes. Now almost the entire implant is under my nipple. I've bottomed out. Not sure if the size was correct from the start... the diameter has always looked wide for my frame. I am torn between downsizing to around 240 mod plus or switching to high profile, either downsizing or staying a similar cc but with a narrower base. Right now I'm 12.4 and 11.9 base. I think even a cm narrower will help a lot. I fear not downsizing will result in bottoming out again, but don't want too my volume loss to cause sagging. Ughhh

I'm reading, sorry you need a revision. High profile might be better? I wouldn't go back to your original surgeon. Wishing you the best!

Girl I'm so sorry you're going through this. I can see your fear of a reoccurring complication, but hopefully since this did happen, whichever surgeon you choose will take some extra precautionary measures! Good luck with everything, I hope in the end you get the boobs you've been dreaming of

I met with my original surgeon today. He completely agreed with what I said and is willing to do an implant exchange to natrelle inspira soft touch full profile in a similar cc (290), but narrower base to address my not liking the width. Also this time the same cc on both sides since different sizes had a counter effect on correcting my little bit of asymmetry. He also said he will do a capsulorraphy to raise the pockets and secure with internal bra mesh. I was quoted $3700. I am highly considering doing the revision with him since he seemed to totally understand my concerns this time around and I do think what happened was my own tissue response/going back to work too early. I do think he genuinely cares. I was very emotional and distraught last year which made me blame him for everything. Also he dealt with my body already and I will not be able to compare with his price. I have two other consults set up. I have a lot of thinking to do.

5 months. Considering revision

It's been 5 months since my mod plus 304L/339R implants were placed. I feel they have moved way too far down and do not fit my frame. I'm afraid the doctor is being so rushed with my consults and though he does see what I'm talking about, will not acknowledge that I don't have a good result. My breasts were not saggy to begin with and shouldn't be this low on my chest wall. The size difference is obvious to me and the nipples are so high. I can barely wear a 32d because of my nipples, yet the cup is too wide all the way in my armpits. I have no upper fullness. I look matronly. They just don't look right! I knew before surgery the implant size didn't seem right, and now I'm afraid my tissues haven't been able to hold up. He has offered to revise for $2750 after the $5000 revision quote (the same price as my original surgery) had me crying in the office, but I just don't know if I trust him now. I am going to arrange another consultation with a doctor I saw before my first surgery. That doctor was very thorough and I only went to my PS because of convenience and a friend's referral. Lesson learned- trust your gut. Any thoughts?

What did you end up doing? I'm sorry you weren't happy with your result :/

Well I decided to go back to my original surgeon to see what his opinion of my final result was and he agreed to everything I said. After doing a lot of research I know it's not something that he did, but rather a combination of things that added up, my body having the biggest influence. I am really hesitant to let him perform the revision, but I've seen a lot of great work from him and the price discount is something I can't compete with. I put a deposit down and really am praying we can get this corrected.
