Post Op Day 10
WORTH IT$29,300
Amazing what a difference a few days makes! I am able to get around the house without a cane or the walker and beginning to feel more like myself. I'm amazed at how quickly the bruising has gone away...I attribute that to the VitaMedica Surgical Supplements given to me by my Doctor. Doctor visit was on Tuesday and I was given compression garment and band to wear above my breasts (to help them drop). The compression garment is tighter than ANY I've ever used and it has been quite an adjustment to wearing this 24 hours a day. Today was the first time that I was able to get it on by myself and not have my breath completely taken away from the pain while getting it on. Definitely in the "swell hell" stage at this point which of course gets worse as the day goes on. Right breast is definitely more swollen than the left at this point and has given me the most pain between the 2 breasts. Trying to be very vigilant with the breast massages and doing extra ones on the right one in an effort to hopefully get it looking more like the left breast. At this point I can honestly say that I really like the way my body is looking like and can only imagine how much better it will be when the breasts have dropped and fluffed and the swelling from the body lift & tummy tuck has gone away. Overall the recovery to date has been not as bad as I had feared which is a good thing. I attribute this to Dr. Patronella's skill as a surgeon and my resting most of the time since I've been home and actively not thinking about my life and work (minimized stress essentially).

Day 4 Update
Energy level getting better each day and watching niece change bandages not inducing panic attack again. Second dose of miralax this morning since I've not had a bowel movement. Incisions all look great and no oozing or holes which is really great. Stomach not feeling the best but I know that's from all the pills I've taking. Recovery so far has not been as bad as I had imaginged...I thought that I would be in so much pain this first week that I would be hating to be alive but I don't feel this way and am SO grateful. Continuing to rest as much as possible to help speed recovery.
