Today is Day 3. I've been taking Extra strength Tylenol since yesterday but not very often. The pain is worse when I lay down and wake up than while I'm awake, sitting (slightly) up or moving around. I took my garment off this morning to change my pads. I have very little leakage. I am swollen, but I can tell my stomach is much flatter than before the procedure. My incision area is bruised and it looks uneven. Does anyone know if it evens out over time? My scars normally turn very light, so I'm hoping this scar does the same. I guess the placement of it won't bother me too much as long as it's light.. no one will see it. Although they only tucked the bottom half of my stomach, I have full tummy tuck scar bc my skin flap was so wide

I was given Arnicare ointment to put on my stomach so I put some on this morning and it feels a lot better. I'm glad today is Day 3 so I can shower this afternoon- I've been looking forward to that!

Day 2 since my procedure. I would say I experienced the worst pain earlier today but it's mostly gone now and I'm also off my prescribed pain meds- I have extra strength Tylenol if needed but I haven't taken it. Also I felt a lot of sadness and anxiety when I saw my stomach swollen and bruised and wondered if I made the right decision but I know I did and once I see my final results I'll be happier. My appetite is low but I'm making sure I eat and drink lots of water and green tea.
My doctor office emailed me and said I should work on being more active today. I have walked more today than yesterday, but I'm also tired easier than normal so I'm also resting.

The only pain I have is getting up and laying back down, and I do feel my stomach swelling and that's uncomfortable, but I knew there would be discomfort and it's nothing I can't handle.

Done!

So I had my liposuction and semi mini tummy tuck done at Sono Bello this afternoon. The staff there are amazing. Everyone came to check on me from the consultant, office manager, and the nurses that weren't even in on my prodecure. They are all so awesome and sweet. During the procedure I felt discomfort two times and it was so minimal! Otherwise I had no pain, not even when she did the mini tummy tuck part and took off my loose skin. I was coherent the entire time.
Even when I got home I felt well enough to help with dinner, after I ate I took a nap. One tip- stay on top of your meds!! After I woke up from my nap a few hours later I felt pain- it's like a burning sensation, not too horrible but probably a 7 on a scale of 1-10. So I took more meds but of course it takes a while to kick in. So maybe even set an alarm to remember to take meds!!

I'm glad everything went well with your surgery. Thanks for the tip on taking the meds. Keep us posted on your results. Please post pictures
Thank you! I will post updated pictures. I wish I had taken a picture this morning, when I took my garment off & changed my pads I saw my stomach and it was beautiful!! Small and flat!! I was so excited. But this evening when I changed my pads and I'm starting to swell and bruise and it looks bumpy, so it made me feel sad and a little like buyers remorse, but I heard that's normal. I'll try to remain positive and focus on the outcome.
