Hey y'all I'm back! So the saying is true, once you start plastic surgery enhancements, it becomes addictive! So I'm 1.5 year post BBL sx and now I'm wanting to get lip fillers. I know it's very different but I just want that full pouty sexy lip. I have been battling with trying to draw my top lip on fuller because it looks crazy when I'm dolled up and it's so much smaller than the bottom. I have been doing research on juvederm and restylane, but I'm pretty much set on one of the juvederms. I haven't seen many reviews on realself that gives full descriptions about their experiences. If you have any advise or experiences, please share. Looking to do this very soon. Thanks!!

My experience with Juvederm in the lips is: it only took a few minutes. I held a small ice pack on my lips for a couple minutes then the Dr (plastic surgeon) injected my top lip first (only on one side and towards the middle) and then the bottom. Then he massaged them to move the filler around so it would be even. Didn't hurt; just felt a little pin prick and that was all. I developed a small bruise on my top lip and the lips were swollen for 3 days. I had a lump in the middle of my top lip where the filler settled and didn't move to the other side of my lip so a week later I went back and he injected (painlessly) a bit of liquid that softens the filler so it can re-settle. Worked fine and the lump is gone and my lips look so much better. Just remember, the top lip is supposed to be 1/3 smaller than the bottom lip.

Oh wow! Thanks! How long did it last for you? Would you say it was worth it?

I only had it done for the first time in January. It is supposed to last about a year. I think it is worth it and am glad I had it done. My upper lip was always thin but this last year it about disappeared and I was very self conscious about it. I would like to have a tiny bit more injected but it isn't worth the price of a full syringe so I will wait till summer and have my lips touched up then.

I just had mine done two days ago, I love them and the positive feedback has been awesome. It was really fast, I sat back and he numbed me up with both a numbing topical and also injected anesthesia, so I was NUMB. The only point that I really could feel and was a little uncomfortable was the middle of my upper lip. It felt like a bee stung me and my eyes just started to water like crazy. Aside from that the whole office visit, including paperwork/consultation was about 40 minutes, and I was out of their with my new lippies. :) My swelling and bruising are already minimal, however I do notice a little more girth on the left side of my bottom lip. Luckily I only notice it because I'm a makeup artist and it's MY face, lol- but that side is ideally where I want them anyway (and during my consultation I showed a picture of where I wanted my lips and they said I'd need two syringes anyway so it's not an issue). I'm making an appointment as we speak to get my second syringe in a couple weeks as recommended, so they're completely set/healed. Totally worth it, I'm seriously SO in love with them and my confidence is through the roof. The endless compliments and envy from cute friends doesn't hurt either.

Wow! I go Monday! I'm stoked! All my friends trying to talk me out of it and they say I don't need it. But my top lip is soooo thin I hate it. So I'm not gonna ask people's opinion. I'm gonna go check out your page you have me pumped over here! I wonder how many syringes I will need to achieve my wish pic

So I just made it to Dr Kronbergs office in Houston... I'm so nervous! Why? I don't know.. Lol I think it's because I keep second guessing myself like "is it necessary" or "go for what I want." But what the hell! I'm going for it! So will me luck guys!

I'm rushing and I didn't get a chance to stop and get breakfast! They said I should eat proteins before but Houston traffic is the pits! :-0 I hope I will be alright.. Ok ttyl

Can't wait to read and see a photo of your new lips and what you think of it all. Had mine done in January and am thinking of getting a bit more added as they seem to have lost some of their volume unless it was just swelling.

:-(. The shape is nice but I wanted more of a fuller pouty look... I only got .5 As she recommended as my first round. But I think I'm gonna call her tomorrow because I want the whole 1ml

I'm kinda sad because I was so pumped. I like natural but honestly I wanted a sexy pout.

That's a shame.....but I know exactly how you feel as I'm in the same boat. My top lip was so thin that he used most of the syringe there and a bit on the bottom so I'd have to buy another---and that's pricey esp since I don't think I need a whole more syringe. Too bad they don't make .5 syringes.

Dang! That's what they have at my dr office. A whole syringe or a half. I didn't know that either till I called today .

Hey y'all.. I'm back! Sooo my experience went GREAT with Dr Kronberg. She was soooo nice and had excellent bedside mannor. She made me feel so comfortable. I told her my problems I've been having with my skin (dark spots) and my super small top lip. She answered ALL my questions before I could even ask. She is so knowledgable and her nurse was there and she was a doll.
They numbed me up for about 20 min then Doc came in to inject me with some more numbing stuff and dental block. They gave me a ball to squeeze for my nerves and the nurse put ice on my arm to distract me from thinking about the sticks. The sticks felt like a small piercing but did not hurt at all.
She recommended .5 syringe to start because it was my first time. I had planned on getting a whole syringe but I figured doc knows best. She injected a a few and then gave me a mirror. Her and her nurse were like artists painting a picture! My right side was more fuller so I asked for more on left. My lips swelled up immediately so I figured I was good.
They looked natural but a sexy little pout. I initially wanted a full pout because I don't care about natural too much. Just nothing super fake. I just wanted people to be able to tell a difference like with my BBL..
So when I got in the car I was still pumped but then thought "they aren't full like I wanted." So I just went on home with my numb lips.
I was able to eat immediately after. No bruising and very minimal swelling.
By 9pm my lips had decreased in the little swelling it had and I was like WTF did my lips go!? So I start feeling down like I should have just gone with the one syringe like I started.
I woke up today and my lips look tiny again. So I called to get more next week. I was even gonna break down and pay another 400 for the half syringe. But I spoke with them and they said I had more left over so that's good. I don't know how much but hopefully that will be enough.
Overall my experience was great and I am going to stick with her from here on out! ;-)
Just need more lips now. Hahaha
Also I got a few goodies for my skin care regimin.

Your "before" pic where you state your lips are thin is absurd! You already have the "after" look that most people are trying to achieve. A nude lip pencil, the right matte lip shade and a little technique is all you needed. It's hard to believe the Dr didn't tell you that you didn't need it, but then again it's money in the bank and patient satisfaction.
