Ablative Fraxel Not Good for Acne Scars

I had the ablative fraxel for my acne scars with Dr. Melissa Bogle in Houston, TX.After several sessions of the fraxel restore with no change in my scars, I decided to go with the most aggressive fraxel.
Dr. Bogle assured me that my complexion would improve no less than 70%.
To those of you with acne scars you know what 70% improvement means......the world......  Dr. Bible was most attentive during the visits prior to the procedure . I had the ablate fraxel with no anesthesia ..... it hurt.... a lot ...The cost was almost $6,000.00. I looked like a burned victim.... I met with Dr. Bogle a week later and everything seemed to be going well. I went back for a second visit after two weeks, and she told me that I would not see improvement right away, that it was going to take at least 10 months for me to see the improvement. Dr. Bogle Said for me to make an appointment close to the 10 month mark and see how the improvement was progressing. I called her office a month before did 10 month mark because there were no visible signs of any improvement whatsoever, I called the office several times and she refused to see me. I finally went to the office one day (Had to take off from work ) And without her expecting me I told the receptionist I was not leaving until I saw her. I waited about two hours and she finally decided to see me, however at this time her attitude was totally different, she refused to do another fraxel, she refused to give me my money back, she refused to offer any kind of fixing to the problem, and she told me that there was nothing she could do. Needless to say, I was extremely upset. I am not wealthy by no means, and I worked very hard to save this money & have this procedure done. It amazes me how some doctors can be that money hungry, instead of tending more to their work ethics and their integrity. Needless to say, ablative fraxel did nothing for my acne scars, and it was very painful .

I have deep acne scars. I was advised by my dermatologist to see another dermatologist that do this procedure (Fraxel Restore & Fraxel repair, I had both of them done) in Houston, TX. I did, and she told me that it would help dismiss 70% of the scars; as you can imagine I was thrilled! First, the procedure was extremely painful, and I have high pain tolerance; second, it cost me $5,000. which went down the drain; third, Dr. Bogle said that the true results will be visible in 1 year, and she will evaluate me then.
After 10 months I went back to see Dr. Bogle; not only no results were ever visible, scars still remain the same, I lost $5,00.00, and Dr. Bogle refused to see me.
My advice:
Get the Fraxel if your skin damage is minimum
Be prepared for pain during procedure
Be prepared for pain (not uncomfortable) after procedure
Research your doctor well. Don't do what I did.
Select a doctor that is willing to stick with you for a long period of time and back up his/her work.

I will never do this procedure again.

In the beginning Dr. Bogle was extremely nice. After procedure was done and she received payment, everything changed. Dr, Bogle said she will see me 10 months later to evaluate; 10 months later, she totally refused to see me.
