Like some before me I chose to go with Dr.Patrick...

Like some before me I chose to go with Dr.Patrick Hsu based on a couple factors, the fact that he was board certified, practiced in the US, had no fatalities, had awesome reviews and had even started following him on social media.
I had my consultation providing pictures of what I wanted to look like, paid my deposit and decided on 360 lipo / BBL / arm lipo (which of course was an additional charge) for 10/2017. In person upon meeting Dr.Hsu he was okay, I did feel like he could’ve been a bit more friendlier/warmer. While discussing the procedures I emphasized the removal of fat from my stomach (since 5000 cc’s is the max that can be removed) I wanted 3500 (or the majority) taken out from there alone (smallest waist ever, very curvy) as the #1 priority then #2 the fact that I wanted a huge butt (as big as possible) and #3 my arms lipo’d. Because I work out on/off I was asked to stop working out and weighed about 155 at time of surgery.
Communication with the coordinator/nurse was great (only exception being when I emailed my lab results I didn’t hear anything back and as a 1st timer it can be nerve racking so I didn’t know if everything was/wasn’t ok. After all I have read some horror stories on realself). So it took extra effort for me to reach out & confirm that my results were fine and I was good to go for surgery.
Surgery day came and again I went over what I really hoped to look like while being marked up. You really do need assistance with getting home right after surgery because you’re completely out of it. Dr.Hsu’s package provides you with the bbl pillow, faja, ab board and Vita Medica vitamin supplements. As customary I had my massage and shower upon the 3/4th day. Everything looked good exception being one of my hips was a bit larger than the other (more fat) and I was sure to make mention of this For the first post op visit (abt 7 days from the date of surgery). Dr.Hsu gave a cavalier response to the effect of nobody will notice it which made me angry because I didn’t care if anybody noticed it! I (the person who matters) noticed it. If one side is uneven if by slightly you should apologize and fix it.
During the weeks following I was swollen and it’s not unusual so I thought nothing of it, plus you need to allow some time for the final results to show... This is partly why I waited so long to do my review.
So by February I was reaching out to Dr.Hsu’s office for a post op visit as I was concerned since my stomach hadn’t gone down all that much and was still swollen. During this consultation I pointed out the fact that my stomach was still huge, my butt wasn’t as big as I wanted in-addition to fat missing from the top as I specifically asked him to fill in, on top of having incurred an additional $500.00 charge from the surgical center as Dr.Hsu had gone over the surgery time by 30min. The only area that showed huge improvement were my arms (since he was aggressive in that area), my back fat wasn’t as big (although on one side there was a roll and the other was pretty much nonexistent), and curvature sculpted on my waistline. His response was to compare how I looked pre op vs post op. In addition he mentioned that I should try working out to lose my stomach. Now I’m assuming a lot of dr’s do not like to hear criticism or be faced with a less than perfect job that they performed but that is not an appropriate answer. I was asked to stop working out beforehand now you’re suggesting that I work out. And I’m sorry (not sorry) but I didn’t pay all this money for you to get me to a starting point where I then need to workout immediately afterwards, I paid all this money for a flat stomach so I expect the best. I wish he had been aggressive with my stomach as much as he had been with my arms! Smh! I could understand if I were 170-180 pounds but that is so not the case. I didn’t have a big butt to begin with however I had a butt. I then asked about a revision to which he answered if I meant a round 2? I feel like a revision is what is needed to fix my uneven side and the fact that he didn’t add the fat to my upper buttocks. He told me I could reach out to his coordinator for pricing. I did reach out and was provided a price but I honestly didn’t feel good about going to someone who I had placed my trust in to come out of surgery looking like nothing I had asked for. I don’t think I can afford to go to him again and be disappointed a second time.
Yes my body is an improvement from my pre op pic but not a huge difference and especially not in my clothes. Also, I still should not have a stomach, sigh.
I am now considering a round two with a different doctor. There’s no worse feeling than being unhappy with your body after surgery or paying for something you feel you didn’t get.
Dr.Hsu isn’t a horrible surgeon, I mean testimonies from his other patients are good but my experience wasn’t the best.
Sorry I will not be posting any pics.

I do think that people who come in from out of town should have post op visits set up the same as you would for patients who live in the vicinity. Feels as though you’re forgotten of soon as you leave the state.
