I wrote a long, detailed review of the last month, and accidentally hit the back button on my browser!

I made collages of before and after pics, which is what I mainly wanted to see before my surgery, so I will upload them again now and rewrite my review later.

I had a breast lift without implants. I was happy with my breast size, just wanted them high & tight again after two kids! I also had lipo of abs, flanks and lower back. Might as well get my pooch sucked out which I'm going under, right?

Summary: Worth it! But not for wimps. Recovery from lipo is no joke! Breast lift is a walk in the park compared to the lipo.

Thanks! Not sure the technical term, but I have the full anchor scars. I wasn't concerned with scarring, I just wanted them up & tight!

You look great. How did the scars heal with your breast lift? I’m considering using your dr for my breast lift

Recovery - Weeks One & Two

bittybee
Week One -
The first couple of days were rough! I am, in general, healthy & fit. Workout regularly. I thought recovery would not be so bad, I'm healthy and tough. LOL. Well, lipo is not for wimps! Mom came to stay and help nurse me and help with my 2 kids. I don't know what I'd have done without her!
Getting up was hard & painful. I was drinking lots of water to help with the swelling, but then you have to pee all the time...but getting upright was an ordeal. Mom or DH would lift me to sitting, I'd have to collect myself for a bit before getting upright. Walking around was ok, but laying back down was painful again. And I felt like 97% of the pain was from the lipo. My boobs didn't bother me much at all the first week. (Maybe all I was focusing on was the lipo, pain, stiffness, etc.) Another weird thing I didn't read in anyone else's reviews was that my fupa swelled up SO MUCH. It freaked me out and I asked the dr. about it. The garment was around my waist, so the swelling was just going the only place gravity would take it I guess!

Week Two -
This was the hardest week. I'd take one week off of work. Remember, I was like, "I'm tough, this'll be easy!" LOL again. I'd weened off the pain meds to just Advil and it just wasn't the same! Sleeping was uncomfortable. I'm a side sleeper, and I couldn't sleep on my sides (mainly bc of the lipo on my sides). My skin felt so tight my sides/flanks. The compression garment was tight where I needed compression, but it was also then tight on my ribs and hip bones. I really just wanted to get out of my skin! My boobs were all itchy around the tape over all my incisions. The vertical and crease incisions felt like there were hard lumps under them. They didn't really hurt. Dr said there were internal sutures in there and that's what I was feeling. Anyway, going back to work was rough. I'd either been laying or standing/walking for week one, so trying to sit to commute and sit at my desk all day was hard. Seems weird that sitting is exhausting, but it really was. I came home everyday and had to lay down. Mom had left by then, so luckily, DH stepped in to make dinners, do kids baths and bedtime. Momma needed to lay down!

You look great!! I'm considering just a lift as well. Just curious - what size breast did you have before the lift?
