Ever since my double-jaw surgery August of 2016, I've been mildly upset about my face. My upper and lower jaws were moved forward which pulled a lot of volume from my temples, cheeks, and underneath my eyes (which became hollow). I've previously attempted Volbella for the under hollow eyes (which helped quite a bit) and one syringe of Voluma to the cheek area (which didn't do much after the water swelling went down).

I switched to Dr Regina Rodman who suggested Sculptra to rebuild my cheeks and help with my boxy face. I have had the first treatment done out of the 3 total planned. The first treatment consisted of 2 vials and probably about 20 injections total! I was also given local anesthetic prior which probably added around 6 additional injections. Definitely felt like a pin cushion!

Injections were focused on the temples, sides of the jaw, chin (which turned out to exceed my expectations), marionette lines (these hurt the worst!), and cheeks. The hour drive home afterward was the most pain I felt, mostly sore achy-ness and some stiffness, but after having your jaw cut and realigned, this was nothing. This hour was also, what I consider, to be the prettiest. Yes, I looked puffy and swollen, but Dr Rodman has an eye for aesthetic! (Low key wish I would've had my jaw surgery with her). My cheeks looked beautiful and my temples were filled in and made a huge difference.

I bruise easily and I began taking Arnica immediately for the next 6 days. There's still yellow bruising, but the 2 major ones were under my chin and my right cheek where I assume the marionette injection went - these ones were purple.

I followed the 5-5-5 massage and noticed a squishy sound and feeling heavily in my right temple and slightly in my left. This went away after 4 days.

Hi! Do you feel like the swelling has gone down? How are you feeling now? Thanks!
June 1, 2017
Yes, the swelling went down pretty quickly, but I can still see a difference already. I'm trying to be patient though!

They say it takes more than one treatment, along with waiting atleast 3-4 months before seeing real results. I know! It's hard to wait but, I'm sure it will look great!

how many vials does your doc plan? Like 3 treatments at 2 each?
June 1, 2017
No, 3 treatments with the first being with 2 vials. The next 2 treatments will only be 1 vial.

Bruising is more yellow and my face is a lot less squishy. It was much easier to smile normally! Still pleased with the result. I'm expecting my face to go back to how it was before soon and then for it to fill back in over the next few weeks.
