Bad Surgery!! Bad Result! Regrets!
I had a really bad experience. Initial visit was ok but thinking back, there should be red flags all over. Consultation was short and too fast. I went to this surgeon because of the reviews and location. To my dismay, I now have offside belly button and my clothes do not fit like before. They turn to one side and that I felt and looked crooked. I also was left with a keloid in the center above my pubic bone that he failed to removed but made it bigger after a small revision post surgery. He made me have an upper muffin top. My pants kept sliding down and it looked off. He made my lower portion shorter by at least an inch because he removed too much skin which did not need to be removed. I could not walk upright even after 3 months. After 3 years, I waited to get better with exercise but the love handles are big and weird and uneven. So basically he stretched out my skin in the front causing skin tightness and also off to one side below my belly button. I have more skin to the sides than the front and it is still so tight that when I wear jeans, I felt choked and uncomfortable and it made a pouch in my pants above my pubic area and below my belly button. I got a result so much worse than expected. There was zero bedside manner. Before surgery, he used a permanent sharpie marker to make 1 or 2 lines sketch.. that was another red flag. Not surgery marker, not naked proper grid lines to ensure symmetry. It took him less than 2 minutes to prep me for surgery. I never see him after surgery until I came back for follow up. He made 1 phone call less than 1 minute after I got home and another less than 30 seconds the next time. I told him my concern but he brushed it all off saying it is too early to tell. I had doggie ears of course that needed to be fixed because my skin was pulled more to my right when he sew my back up by stretching it to the max. The cut was much longer and wider than I had specified since he decided to remove more skin than he had to. Imagine you have nice relaxed skin that can move around any angles on the back and in the front you are glued tightly down and unable to move in your own skin. I could not do certain yoga moves and when I run, I can not twist from side to side comfortably without feeling agitated. I can not do sit ups because my abs have been sewn or glued to a position where they used to freely move about and now I can not do full range motion. He supposed to do tummy liposuction but left the fat to hang over above my belly button. I am disproportioned and off in symmetry thanks to his recklessness and oversight. He did not care to listen. He told me doing more lipo will cause ripples to scare me and not have to do his part. He barely did any lipo and only in small parts causing lumps of fat. Basically, he did not scaling to make sure the skin blends in with area liposucked and areas not that needing smoothing out. He basically made a ditch and leaving both side untouched in the flanks and one side is bigger than the other. Uneven pull and lump causing my shirts and dress to turn and positioned crooked. He charged supplies fee to perform a small revision on his mistake but failed to do any help making it worse instead. Bigger scar and more money lost. He only care about taking pictures rather than listen to his client and fix the issues she had. I made several attempts every follow up but was told the same lane excuses. Each follow up lasted in less than 1 minutes of talk time without getting what I need fixed. Money and time down the drain and I am miserable. I will have to pay for another surgery to have this hopefully corrected and undo his damage. I have lost trust and now feel it is hard to find the one to listen and have the talent he or she is meant for this chosen career to fix people up. Can you believe he told me I have an off centered belly button not by his doing? Like I was born crooked with off center button. Funny that was not told before surgery. Please look closely the belly button positions , below the belly button, and both sides of tbe love handles and see if there is any symmetry and see how skin is pulled. You don't want to see those until it is said and done. Make sure surgeon spend ample time on consultation and draw out what will be taken off and how much skin is taken. Do not let them take too much because your skin with be over stretch and will be very tight which will cause more stretch marks. The reason for tummy tuck is only to take away extra skin and damage stretched marked skin not to make it worse. You need to keep as much skin possible without the sag. You need to have relaxed look where you can have room to stretch and breathe without feeling choked and stiff. I wish I waited to find good surgeon with the right caliber and care that are required in a true surgeon. Beauty requires symmetry and balance and I got the opposite. It is nothing what he had on his website. Becareful, you will have to still pay for revision for their own mistakes. At least the hospital fees and general anesthesia for his or her bad job or work. I opted not to go that route because there should never be a revision needed if you are a good surgeon or if that is the case 1 revision would show if he has the dedication or the skill to do what he supposed to do. I gave him the chance to correct and he failed it badly without an effort on his part. Imagine having to pay revision surgery and still ended up badly or worse! Becareful ladies!! Look for scars' appearances, skin pulling, and uneveness. Too much of those is a bad sign. Check for symmetry. It takes a lot of experience and skill as well as patience to give great results. You can't rewind time and take back money lost once you signed those dotted lines. Go to a few surgeon for consultation and ask away all of your concerns and have it written down what exactly will be done.
