Facetite Journey and Recovery
SmollykmcJuly 12, 2018
So I've always had a double chin and after many doctors visits and research I decided on facetite. I had my procedure on July 9,2018. This is the beginning of my journey. Today is only Thursday, July 12,2018. I want to document since this website was so instrumental in my research. So far I'd give my Dr. an A+ , he's fantastic and comes highly recommended so if you are in the Houston area I highly recommend him (gave me his cell number, checked on me that night personally, office staff fantastic!). So about the procedure... It hurt. Not under my chin, but my cheeks. I have to disclose that I do have TMJ and grind regularly and being nervous before May have made this part more uncomfortable to me than others since I was already sore. First took the oral sedation, then the needle stick of tumescent numbing. This hurt like a wasp sting-3 places. Prick (not bad but as the fluid goes in it burns-- much like a wasp or bee sting). The procedure was as shown in you tube, then he went through with a small cannula to do mini lipo. He did each area until he was satisfied. Facetite wand thing, lipo, facetite wand thing, lipo, etc... Then they wrap you up, make your appt for follow up and head home. The pain that day was minimal maybe a 4? I went home and slept off the meds. Slept with my head elevated and drank lots of water.

Still very swollen
SmollykmcJuly 13, 2018
So I'm still swollen and bruised. My neck looks like I was strangled with something. I have no pain, still sleeping elevated, low salt diet, lots of water. Getting cabin fever though. It's difficult to smile or open my mouth very wide due to swelling (not pain). Using arnica, and ice, but very little difference in swelling. Even though I've done everything right I think it's the amount of energy used from what I can tell other research has shown and the amount of lipo that was done. I'll post pics in a bit. I'm comfortable, but impatient and excited to see the final result.
