I will start by telling you I am 54 yrs. old. Have had extremely large breast my entire life. starting at about 10 yrs. I have always been scared to go through with the reduction mainly because of the scars. After years of reading about everyone it has made me realize It isn't that bad it is exactly GREAT and for the most part everyone is very pleased with having done it.
So here I am checking out doctors . I found one I really felt comfortable with Dr. David A. Altamira. after 10 weeks trying to get approval from my insurance Cigna..I found out it will not cover it for any reason at all. My husband is retired and we have insurance thru the City and breast reduction is one of the things they will not pay for. :( but, it has to be done I have suffered for way to long and just last year had to have ACDF surgery. They paid my surgeon 36,000.00 to do the surgery. but, they won't pay to do breast reduction and the neck problem is caused from having heavy breast ..36 G . I am going to pay out of pocket. so in the process of finding the best surgeon I can for the least amount . sounds like I am cheap that's not he case. but, we do live on retirement pay. Wish me luck in finding the best surgeon I can in Houston Texas.

I have waited so long for this and it will be here April 9, 2013 ...I am so excited I can hardly stand it.!!!! Finally It is really happening I found the perfect doctor he was so comforting and showed me exactly what he would do I stood and faced a mirror and he drew on me exactly what he would do and where where my nipples would be located. I have seen several plastic surgeons he is the first to show me on me. It really helped me to understand exactly what to expect. I feel like he will take great care of me. My husband was with me and he liked him very much as well . I go for my pre op. Is April 4 thats a friday .Yay Yay YAY will post later

Dr. Pisarski and his staff were all amazing, friendly, helpful ! They make me feel well cared for. I was completely comfortable with everyone. I know this is going to be my miracle to finally get this breast reduction. I feel like I am in the best of hands all the way around.
