bad experience

Dr. Epstein claims to be the best but in reality he is not the best. I came to him due to a problem with my left nostril. It was collapsed. He claimed he could fix it and rightfully so, he did, BUT he only worked on one side of my nose . This resulted in me having an asymmetric look. He impacted the left nostril so much I am living with a piece of excess skin that is sticking out of my nose. When I asked if he would fix it so that my nose can look symmetric and if he can remove the excess skin in my nostril, he said no. I have the emails to prove it. He said he didn't like me leaving my honest opinion on real self so as a result of that he would not welcome me back into his office. He is extremely cocky and not humble in the least bit. He could have corrected my issue so that I in turn could go back and leave a better review. I am still suffering from the unprofessionalism I had to encounter upon Dr. Epstein's hands. DO NOT TRUST. He will turn his back on you.

Hi, you look extremely beautiful in your new nose... What techniques your surgeon has used for building your bridge and side walls and what type of grafting? Your asymmetric concern is not noticeable unless you mentioned in your review. I know its bothering you.. Check for another opinion with expert surgeon it might need small touch up kind of thing.. Surgeon basically doesnt turn responsive if we come back with complains same happened with me. Currently seeking for another surgeon who can help fixing my nose.

It does look better. I just hate the slight bulbous and how it's retracted and now I developed a slight dent when I smile above the implant.

It's called gortex on the left nostril.

I feel the same way about him. He did my nose.. nice guy when you meet him. Then afterwards when things don't look good he told me that there were complications that almost never happen to him. I doubt it! I'm way over one year out and as it "refines", it continues to show his poor workmanship. Gets worse every day. My original nose was not good, but this one is worse because it looks weird, bumpy, droopy, lopsided. On top of that its uncomfortable, dry, and drips all the time. I would NOT recommend him. By the way...there has been NO long term follow up with him. He has NO IDEA that his product doesn't hold up long term...

Looks really good. I need to look into your surgeon. 2nd rhinoplasty will take 2 to 3 years to see the final result.

Lol no. I have a similar nose to you. I know its not going to be easy to fix, but I would be happy if I could get the sort of change you have. I am 2.5 years after my disastrous revision and I need a lot of work done. The second year following my revision I saw a lot of change looking back at the 1st year photos. So you probably will see a decrease in swelling too. I looked at your surgeons site and I see why you chose him because he did a lot of similar work.

so he used gortex without informing you prior to surgery?

Hope the eye issue turns out well but I think your nose is much better than better. It looks awesome. Hopefully it lasts over time so no more surgeries!

Met with Dr Epstein he was not fully honest. Told me I most likely did not need gortex graft but he lied. He also did my lower blepho and took too much out and one eye I developed a cyst. He did not fix it instead he sent me out to his colleague who made my eye worst. Horrible experience. BEWARE!!!!

This is SOOOO terrible! I would write him a certified letter explaining the damage he and his colleague did to your eyes! Do it, don't let them get away with murder! Telling him you have paid for a job and the job was not only not done, but it damaged your eyes which also disfigured your face and you need for him to fix your eyes and/or return the fee you paid him so you can see a specialist ophthalmologist. Wait for a response. If he offers some compensation take it. If not, go see an ophthalmologist and if there's something wrong with your eyes, you can get him as your witness in Small Claims Court. If nothing wrong with your eyes, get another plastic surgeon and this one will then can be your witness for the bad thing he did in your skin. This is just an idea of what to write but just change it your way. I'm very angry when they make mistakes and expect the VICTIMS to pay for it. Good luck!

@silas Did you try these tactics with your surgeon. I read that having a doctor as a witness can be costly. As much as 10,000 but it's the only way you stand a chance in court.

Not yet. It's too soon for me, but something I feel I must do. It's a crime to get our money and not deliver. Yes, a professional witness will be very expensive; however, who knows, you may find a compassionate doctor who'll recognize the wrong surgery. I'd try to find an advocacy organization for advice....

I'm sorry for your situation because, you have spent your money and your time without getting a good result. It's obvious that a doctor honest you should take the responsibility of the intervention and not look for excuses, as it has happened in your case.

Dr. Martin is an oculoplastic surgeon so I'm surprised he was not able to remove a cyst.

Fyi, I developed the same thing after a botch bleph. I was told it is a stitch that the doctor failed to take out. I had one on the left side of my eye as well but I managed to pull the stitch before it formed a cyst.
