Hi everyone, So like everyone on here, I myself...

Hi everyone,

So like everyone on here, I myself wanted to get surgery done. I wanted rhinoplasty.
After doing some research, i thought i would go ahead with the hospital group. My patient coordinator at first was Pamela(Pam) who advised me to go ahead with 'DR Alberto Di Giuseppe' as he is a very highly recommended surgeon (her words not mine).
So after meeting with him in April 2015, I thought he was a good dr as he listened to what i wanted and he told me whether he could achieve it or not. I told him that I have migraines/breathing problems, so he had suggested that I should get a CT Scan done via the NHS (which was due anyway because of my problems too) so he could see whether I needed a septoplasty too. Pam said we should book the date asap for June 2015 so at least it gives two months to receive the CT results etc so i paid my £500 deposit.
Now as with the NHS system, there is and always will be a long waiting list. The date for my scan came for July, which Pam said she rebooked my surgery date for sometime in September 2015, i agreed.
Now as i said before, I had sinus problems which my doctors thought could be linked to my migraines, so I had to have the scan done anyway, I was just on the waiting list.
So when i got the results of the scan, my NHS doctor said i would need a septoplasty under the NHS asap as i had a deviated septum and he believed that this was actually causing my migraines.
So he put me under the waiting list for the surgery.
I called The hospital group, and unfortunately Pam had left and did not even tell me. I was then told that i had a new patient coordinator; Brooke. I told her of my situation in and she told me to send all the letters from the NHS and she will get the refund of my deposit asap. So i did this when i received everything, about a week or so later. She then did not respond to my emails or phone calls for about a month, and one day i just kept calling the clinic until i got hold of her. She then explained that the managers will not accept the letters to give me my refund as Dr Giuseppe could have done the septoplasty, which i agreed to, BUT i told her that they done this as it was a medical condition that was on-going from 2012 and Pamela knew about this, and I explained that Pamela basically made me pay the deposit so i 'don't lose a surgery date'.
She then asked me to get some more medical letters, which I did, and then I sent them to her. It has now been over a month and I still have not heard anything, every time i try to call the clinic, Brooke is always busy. She just replied to one email saying she will chase up the managers, and again today, I emailed her but no response. This is absolutely outrageous.
I was basically pressurised into paying a deposit for a date, then told I cannot get a refund, then I proved my medical history/notes, and now no response!
Disgusting!

I do not trust the Hospital Group, and i really would like to let everyone know of my experience. This has been going on since July 2015.
They are greedy.
They do not care whether you are ill, or sick. As long as they get your money, deposit or full payment they don't actually care about your well being. Its a business. Its not actually about the patients, its about how much money they get and how much commission they can receive individually.
I really wonder how they all sleep at night.

P.S This is in the 'septoplasty' section as it would not let me review under rhinoplasty.
