What can I say? How do you explain in words what it feels to get your mind and body back in balance? To feel like you are "you" again?? I am truly a different person now that I look like a normal person, the one before I had my beautiful kids. I had a very large protruding belly from all of my stomach being stretched from pregnancy. Dr. Schlesinger was a godsend for me. When I think about this journey, I am so thankful that he was my surgeon. I was very scared that I was doing the right thing for me and my family. This is a very difficult surgery and no one would ever want to repeat it more than once. It takes time to heal. It takes help from your loved ones to care for you. It takes a mountain of commitment and patience from everyone around you. But you have Dr. Schlesinger and his lovely staff to support you. They know what you are going through and can help you navigate it. He actually cares about the result and your well being. He will answer the phone when you call and see you if there is a problem. He even came into the office when he was on Christmas vacation to help a patient. You will be well taken care of! It took me almost 2 months to feel somewhat normaI but it was still 100% worth it. I would do it again in a heartbeat for just how I am feeling today. I can say the pain was worth it. In a month, I will get a second surgery to make my results look even better. He is the only doctor who does it this way in order to achieve the best results for his patients. I'm so ecstatic and cannot imagine how much better things are going to be. Don't wait. You have no idea how awesome it will be!!!!
