As my first cosmetic surgery I believe the procedure went according to plan but to be honest I'm quite disappointed in my results (lipo and fat grafting) 3 months after the procedure. I had my abdomen and flank area lipo'd along with the bra strap area on my back. After having a baby my body was not the same and I thought if I'm going to cosmetically change my body, I should change the parts that have always bothered me while I'm at it, which led to me also getting fat grafted in the hip area to have a more feminine physique. I have the hip dip thing or as the doctor called it violin deformity. From the beginning I feel as though the recovery was downplayed quite a bit. I was told I'd be up and moving in a few days and by 2 weeks I should be able to start attending the gym again. It was still hard just to walk after 1 week and that's hunched over because standing up straight was a whole other ordeal. Like I said the procedure was fine the recovery was just way more than expected. I know lipo is not the answer to losing a substantial amount of weight. As a 5'5 155 lbs women I really was really hoping to lose atleast 5-10 lbs but I didn't. The doctor said I lost quite a bunch of inches but I don't see that my clothes still fit the same. At 2 months post op I had noticed I was starting to get a defined shape and was so excited. Here at 3 months post op, my body reverted back to the way it was. The fat grafted on my hips disappeared and I am quite devastated I blew 12-13k on a surgery that was so hard on my body for virtually no reason. I gave Dr S 3 stars because he did what I asked and I can't blame him for the fat cells in my hips dying. I knew the 30% survival rate and he put a lot of fat in the and at 2 months it appeared to level out but here a month later I swear I look like I never had anything done with the exception of my flanks. His staff was friendly and accommodating even with ultrasounds, but some days the waits were long. I've had multiple follow ups. They were fine. The entire process was just not worth it for me personally. That's my experience.
