1 week post op laser lipo

Wildheart86
Im back! Whoo what a week, I will go day by day and 1 week photos as well

Friday (day of surgery): foggy, when I came home though I thought I was gonna die. The drainage is no joke it looks like blood well it is blood mix with fluids dr said anyway I messed up at least 10 totals and clothing omg I swear I thought my life was ending. Called dr he ensured I'm ok. They should really tell patience about the drainage and send home with more garment.
Saturday: went to dr to get more dressings. Rule of thumb maybe think about getting the adult diapers it was a life saver I was a little nervous buying them then I thought about all the clothes I can save and not mess up. Pain level was about a 7
Sunday: walked around not too bad seem like pain went down, BUT swelling did start!!
Monday: went to work jeez. Had a rough day those compression garments are a pain when you sit it feels as if your life is being sucked out. Pain 5/swelling 7
Tues-Thursday: post op went good, short. Everything about the office seems rushed. Post op was not with doctor. pain 5/swelling 8
Friday- today I feel like spongebob square ass omg I can fit in my pants it hurts to sit stand, don't get me started on sleep forget that!! Pain 6/swelling 10

I forgot to mention I had aftercare with NO MEDICATION. Meaning the only meds were the ones with the procedures.

Oh and another thing before surgery I youtubed a lot of this procedure, most of them they are talking and reading a book smiling while the procedure was going on, NOPE not me, got my meds and shot and laid down 1017 and got up at 1246. Don't remember a damn thing. Yes it was local too. So don't believe everything you see, every doctor is different and give different medication. Until next week ladies!

Thanks for sharing your story, you are very detailed and it will help others going through the same procedure. I hope your healing goes well and thank you for posting!

Thanks for sharing your journey. Pain meds free recovery not sure I'm keen on that idea for the first few days. How are you feeling within yourself? Are you happy so far (minus the swelling)? I'm going in for my surgery 1st June and I agree with your comment sharing your journey for 12 months will be great for others. Good luck with your healing :-)

I decided on no pain meds as I have two small little ones at home so I don't want to be drugged up by anything and something goes wrong. I remember when I got my breast done I was in a fog for a week and I don't want that. Thank you for reading my post!

Hello Wildheart86, I hope you are feeling better & healing! Can you go more into the adult diapers? How you used them, when, how etc. Thanks for all your info.! : )
May 21, 2015
Hi!! I went to Kmart or maybe it was Walmart but they are sold everywhere. They are usually by the pads and tampons or feminine products. You literally pull them up just like underwear (not actual snaps on the sides like diapers) they are usually for older adults who may not make it to the bathroom in time. Anyway listen they honestly saved me 5-7 of my yoga pants. Maxi pads are good too but it also depends where you incisions are I had 3 below belly and 3 in the back so all of my incisions were perfect for the adult diapers. The cost was 9.99 for 20. Hope this helps!! Thanks for reading :-)

2 week post op laser lipo

Wildheart86
Alright!

So this week has been challenging. First off I forgot to mention a few things in my previous post; I did get laser lipo on flanks and abs (lower and upper) and my incisions are 3 in lower back, 2 on the bikini line, 1 in pubic area and 1 in belly button. Your Incisions maybe in different locations but I can barely see mine at all.

Weight: when i first started I was 172. When I left the surgery I was 164. I am now 169. So if you are concerned about weight it is not a weight lost difference however the inches were 38 1/2 and now I'm 34. So I'm happy with that

Eating habits: I'm not a very healthy eater but I am trying to watch what I eat so that I can get the result I want and be overall healthy.

Salt: I have notice when I eat salt I tend to swell up a little more and get more uncomfortable so maybe limiting that will help out

Okay so about my week, YES swelling has started to go down I now wear a body compression during the day and body compression with the compression wraps at night

My belly button lower area is starting to go down a lot and the pain is not too bad. Early morning and late nights are the worst

Honestly I would not call this a "weekend" procedure as what that glamorize it as! Give yourself 2 weeks. I had the surgery on Friday and was back at work on Monday.

I did cave in and took medication last weekend because It wasn't like pain pain, it was that uncomfortable heavy can't lay down pain

On Tuesday I went back to dr bc it appears I have a liquid lump or Seroma. ( pics below) but over the last two days in has gone down ALOT I am still going to get an ultrasound done to make sure it is nothing too serious

Massages: has been the best thing for my swelling not too much pressure maybe a friend or spouse can do it but man it's good.

Overall the way I look in my clothes ( with the little swelling still) I am still happy so far with results. I use to go out with baggy tops and leggings bc it was just too much weight I felt everyone was looking. Now I even walk lighter. Anyway if there are any questions at all please ask I will respond within 24 hours! Now to the pics

After the swelling goes down will your stomach be more flat or is that pretty much all the results your going to get from surgery and the rest is from working out
May 24, 2015
It will be more flat I'm still numb and my belly button is not a circle so my front is still very much swollen. It takes about 2-4 months to get the results. If you look at the picture from the first day 3 hrs after surgery that is how it will look; I will post every week so you can see.
