Dr. Schlesinger's experience and intuition showed when he did my breast augmentation revision- I've been to some of the best plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills, but even they could not prevent my implants from falling to the sides when I laid on my back. It's been a couple of months and the amazing technique Dr. Schlesinger used is working like a charm! I went with implants that were 200 cc's bigger than what I had, and am 100% satisfied with the size. I also had him trim off a little bit of my labia lips at the same time, and the wedge technique he used was incredible! The lips are now perfectly straight and I'm now 100% confident with how everything looks "down there." I was initially worried that the opening looked too small, but he assured me it would stretch, and that intercourse would be fine. I have had intercourse since surgery and realized that I was worrying for nothing. It's not too tight or painful at all- the only difference is that I'm no longer self-conscious about how the outside looks anymore.

Did you get some type of internal bra during your revision to help your breasts not fall into your armpits? I have seen some women wear a sleep bra at night to help prevent gravity taking over again in the future. Will you be doing anything like this? Congratulations on your revision and your labia work too!

Yes! Previously, a surgeon in Los Angeles had tried to use stitches to hold them in place, but they wouldn't even hold them during the surgery. Dr. Schlesinger used something called Seri, which is like a mesh hammock to hold them in place and prevent them from falling to the sides. It takes about 28 months to dissintegrate, which I was pleased to hear, as I didn't want any other foreign materials besides the implants in my body forever. He also used his own invention of these foam "shapers" that were placed on the outside of my body by a type of safe, surgical adhesive (I believe it may be what he uses for abdominal work as well.) It was a second method of keeping them in place and I had them on for about a week. The third method he implemented is that I wear an underwire bra while sleeping for the next couple of months. Victoria's Secret has the perfect comfortable sports bras which have underwire support, but with padding, so you don't have the discomfort of a normal underwire bra. They also have zip closure in the front, which holds them away from the sides even more. He said once the Seri dissolves I'll be good to go! I won't have to sleep in bras for the rest of my life, which I was happy to hear! I've had implants for over a decade, but no surgeon has ever been able to keep them from falling to the sides before. Now they just fall slightly into a natural position when I lie on my back, unlike before, where they would go so far to the sides that the front of my chest was almost completely flat when I laid down- it made me pretty self-conscious in regards to intimacy or even sunbathing at the beach.

Wow, what an amazing difference you've noticed with the Seri mesh. So glad to hear it's working and that you've been extremely careful to follow your doctor's post instructions. Here is an interesting forum about sleep bras that you might find helpful. Feel free to update us again soon!
