54 Years Old, 5'3", 155lbs. I Need a Tummy Tuck!! - Honolulu, HI

The swelling in my thighs has gone down quite a bit. The shorts that were way too small for me before my tummy tuck are now dropping off my hips, and the new panties I bought a few months ago, are now my granny panties. I have to keep buying smaller sizes! Oh what a problem to have...I love it!!!

Something felt funny when I got out of my car to go to work. I was a little concerned until I realized my thighs were no longer rubbing together! What a surprise and wonderful sensation! I told my work friend about it, and she couldn't stop laughing! I was quite happy that I was able to entertain her. She was very happy for me.

On 5/27/2016 (about 4 months after my tummy tuck), I had my liposuction procedure. My abdomen was phase 2 of Dr. Schlesinger's Ultimate Silhouettplasty and, since I was so pleased with my tummy tuck, I decided to have my inner and outer thighs, knees, upper arms, lateral and axillary breasts done at the same time. I am now 12 days post lipo!

My doctor has many, many informative videos online and he makes sure I know what to expect. I have had no surprises. I expected to be larger than I was before surgery, and I am not stepping on a scale for a long time! I am very happy with my results so far. I had lots of swelling and bruising, but after using DMSO as instructed, my bruising is not very noticeable. At least no one has commented on it. My swelling is slowly but surely diminishing and I know it might take a few months before I can see a real difference.

The pain wasn't bad at all after the first couple of days. I just had a little trouble sleeping because I kept moving around and I was itching like mad (similar to my tummy tuck recovery). I started taking pain medication and a Benedryl before bed and all is well!

I feel extremely tight! It is difficult to get up from a seated position and stand/walk upright without feeling like my belly skin will tear! But what a difference from getting up from a seated position and having to wait until all of my flubber settled down before I could walk! I am exaggerating but l like tight much better than flub!

Ultrasound treatment is my new BFF! I try to go 3 times a week to break down all of the lumps from the lipo. It is a real time commitment, but it will give me the results I want and help me to heal faster.

And, of course, I am wearing my compression garment religiously. It is definitely not my BFF. Maybe it is more like a chaperone making sure all goes well and I don't get myself into trouble.

Taking care of myself was the best decision I ever made, and I am blessed to have found very best surgeon that anyone could have.
