WORTH IT
Can't remember what I paid... somewhere around $11,000 in South Florida for both procedures.
The most expensive cost was the OR.
2nd highest price was the anesthesiologist, the anesthesia
and 3rd was the procedure itself.
Expensive in the states. I would do it again in a heartbeat, but probably elsewhere.

I wish I could but my procedures were back in 2009..
It's been six years now and the neck is starting to loosen with age.. I'd love to do it again.

Today is 21 days after surgery. I have been home, nearly 2 weeks.
I'm happy I did the reduction/lift, but I'm not sure about size and look.
I look like a 13 yr old, going into puberty. My breasts jut out like bullets, like I did when I was going through puberty. They have lost their beautiful roundness. The mature roundness we're all so used to seeing.
I've also found why I'm so sore still, under the arms. The incision that goes underneath the breast from side to side is still very tender and has stitches. It looks like all the bruising from the liposuction is gone.
One areola is larger than the other. As a painter I notice little details and I swear, it looks like I had two different people sewing me up.
One side looks smooth, the other, not so much.
The incision for the pelvic lift is messy, splotchy, not smooth.. lots of pucker.
and... the new incision is underneath the old tummy tuck incision, which makes my belly look like a two lane highway.
Taking a round of antibiotics.
Not wearing a bra so much as letting the infected area get air.. it's healing nicely.
I've never mentioned the pelvic lift because I have been waiting for it to heal.
The morning before my flight, I felt my pelvic area and got worried.
It was hard, like a hard surface (think table) and warm in temperature.
I went to the clinic before heading out to the airport and Dr. Cohen looked at the pelvic area, touched it, pressed on it and said not to worry, "The body will absorb it."
"It" is still hard, it's not so warm.. but it's hard like a table surface. Scar tissue?
Nice hard "thing" in my pelvic region... He told me to ice it. I have iced it on many occasions but nothing is happening. I'm wondering if "it" will ever soften up. It's the oddest thing..
So.. that's where I'm at on day 21.

I am aware that my breasts will find their shape, down the road..
Things will drop, things will rise..
but for now, they look like puberty!

Day 22 Post Surgery
The little infection that was at the "T" line where the vertical line met the horizontal line is gone, now..
Still taking medication.
Noticed that I have no more stitches on the breast.
Still a little squeamish to look at the other incisions.. Figure they will work themselves out..
I still laugh at the shape my breasts are. I swear, I look like I have just entered puberty...
I hope they fall into place that will look like a woman with perky breasts.. not bullets.
I feel good. I haven't worn a compression bra in about a week, now.. I had to let the little infection breathe.
I sleep much better without the bra. No more shortness of breath.
When I put something on (clothing), without any kind of bra.. I look like I'm wearing a bra from the 50's... Pointy bra that separates the breasts.. Yeah, that's what it looks like.
But it is nice to be able to walk out of the house - braless - and know that nothing looks out of place.
The incisions under my arm pits are still real tender. I am especially careful with that area.
I have not taken any pain medication since ..... probably 18 days ago.
That hardness in my pelvic area is still there. feels like a lump of clay that has hardened..
it's not soft, whatsoever.
I feel like I'm back to my old self..
But I am careful with handling weight, pushing or pulling anything.
Doing my own grocery shopping, now.
