Saline to Silicone, Fixed Lateral Nipples, Fat Grafting to Breast - Hoffman Estates, IL

I got my first augmentation at 19. I had high-profile 350cc saline implants overfilled to 400cc. I had very little natural breast tissue; I was maybe an A cup. After, I was a D or DD. At first I was very excited with my results, but over the years, I became self-conscious about my breasts because they looked very fake to me. People would ask me all the time if they were real or not, and I found myself wearing more modest clothing and constantly worried about them looking fake. Additionally, I had very lateral nipples-like 2 inches off center at least. Despite the high profile, this was my biggest concern. I was frustrated because the whole point of getting implants was to feel better about myself. Instead, I got a new set of insecurities!

In my mind, I wanted smaller implants so that they would look more natural. Dr. Patel suggested that we actually go bigger (450cc) , but at a lesser profile (moderate plus) to fill out the breast more. I was very apprehensive about going bigger, but I'm so glad I listened to him! Even though they are technically bigger, they don't look as pushed out and fake. I feel that they are actually a modest size for my body. The silicone feels much softer, and my nipples were moved more centrally on the breast. They look and feel real. Additionally, Dr. Patel grafted a little fat from my tummy and love-handle area to hide any potential rippling, since I don't have a ton of natural breast tissue to begin with. I feel great and I am so glad that I listened to the expert.
