Hip Implants

Hello all,
So to give you my back story— I had silicone injections done to my hips back 10 years ago. I’ve since had the product removed through a “open” reconstruction surgery. This left me with large dips in my hips. About 3 years ago I had a fat transfer to this area and unfortunately none of the fat survived. I came to the realization that due to all the trauma my hips have endured, no fat will survive and an implant is necessary.
So, I went on a journey to find the best surgeon for the job. I have consulted with 5 surgeons for hip implants and Dr. Javaheri will be my 6th consult. I will be flying to San Fran in a week for a in person consultation. I found him on IG and loved his results. We did a phone consult and I was able to see a patient that is not posted on his IG— she looked amazing, her hips are exactly what I want. One thing I really like and that he does different is that he has custom implants fabricated. He takes measurements and a diagram of the area and sends them to a company who makes a custom implant for you. It takes a month to great according to his assistant.
If all goes well I will be putting in my deposit and moving forward with the procedure for the first week of August.
I will keep you all posted!

Hi, how did it all go ? I'm looking also into this surgeon for the same procedure.

The phone consult went well with Dr. Javaheri. Due to the surgical scars I have on hip, he has to see me in person to make sure the scar isn’t deep—making it impossible to do the implant. My scars are not deep though so I am anticipating him clearing me. The other surgeons I met (in person) were not concerned with the depth of my scars so I think I should be fine. My in person consult is on the 23rd, I will be making updates here.

Hello! I’m also in the process of finding the best surgeon for this procedure. I wish you the best of luck. I was looking into Dr. Stanton, but you’re right his results vary too much. This is such a tough decision. How much is the procedure for Dr. Javaheri if you don’t mind me asking?

For the hip implants alone he quoted me $8000. I am getting other procedures however so it’ll be more.

I had a consultation with Stanton— he’s a really nice person but to me, hit or miss when it comes to the hip implant procedure.

Consultation

I had my consultation today with Javaheri and will be going through with him for my surgery. I am very impressed with his work. I had the opportunity to see and feel a sample of his hip implants. It’s not hard but not super soft either— it’s in between. It feels kind of like a stress ball. His implants are shaped like a backwards “P” which I like because it’ll give you a little projection to the butt area. It’ll also give a smoother and more seamless transition from hips to butt...

My right hip is a lot more indented than my left hip therefore I will need different size implants fabricated. If not, my left hip will have more projection than the right which I do not want. Javaheri was unsure if his Implant manufacturer does different sizes. I am waiting for him to get back to me on this. At that time is when I will put the deposit down for the implants. They take a month to make, are custom to your body and the fee is nonrefundable. He took my measurements today.

I will be scheduling for late July, early August. I will keep you all posted!

I booked my surgery yesterday— my surgery date is August 14, 2020. I will be getting liposuction to My (double) chin/neck and love handles + hip implants.
I am super excited and nervous at the same time.. I seriously don’t think I can take anymore disappointment. I am for the most part feeling confident that Javaheri will get me right. I will keep you all posted!
