Five months update
It's amazing how much our muscles remember the work out before surgery. The first time I attempted doing the situp, I was so hesitated, slowly pulled myself up, it didn't work. Then all a sudden my body just did what it used to do: my back muscles contract, my core engaged and pow! I sprung a sit up out of nowhere. Since then, I ran 4, 5 miles, I swung the kettle bells, push up, crunches and all else... Just love it!
The belly button is still not the most beautiful thing, but I'm so used to it so it's no longer a bother. I love the curves and smooth belly. Looking at the pre-op pictures, I'm so happy that I did this.
It's been a difficult journey, but all well worth it! Good luck to all the beautiful ladies here who are kind enough to yourselves enough to do decide on the tummy tuck. You're way worth it! Hugs to all :-)
at 10 weeks
I continue to improve in strength and more of normal life. I went back to my weight training/ high intensity interval workout class. But of course I am slow and hold less weight. I have my compression garment on during work out. I avoid ALL work out that engage or target my ad muscles. However, today I started back on the plank position for 15 second on 15 second off. It's tolerable.
I lost solidly 3 pounds and my the scale seems to be a lot more consistent now than it was before the surgery. Every morning with fully clothes and shoes and weight 107.6 It's just a bit weird...
There are days I don't wear the CC and swelling is huge by the end of the day. I could start with a extra loose pants and end up with a tight one.
Coughing and sneezing still cause some pain and discomfort, not tear-inducing like it was at 2 weeks, but significant enough that I try to avoid these two things as much as I could.
Incision lines looks good, no complaint there. But the biggest complaint is on the belly button. It's uneven, the scar is huge and just...well.. ugly :-(
I''l post a few pics taken today.
Happy recovering and healing to all my TT fellow ladies.
Hello old friend compression garment :-)
Provider Review
I had my breast augmentation with dr. Weinzweig last year and love the result. I went back for the tummy tuck procedure. Everything went smoothly perfect. Dr. Weinzweig keeps things simple but highly effective. I believe he's on the conservative side that makes sure all is done safe and right (this makes me a bit grumpy at time, but I know it's for my own good and a perfect result, so I wouldn't argue over anything :-)) As always, I feel like I was the most important patient that he has. His assistant Mariah is one amazing lady. She responds to emails and phone calls within hours, no matter it's weekend or weekday. I had no complication, only tedious questions that I kinda knew not that important (like- I ate garlic and too much cherries before surgery, is that OK..) but she always replied happily (I'm not encouraging others to be like me though :-) Dr. Weinzweig reply to phone calls within a couple hours at most. He always sounds confident, kind, positive and willing to help any time. At only 18 days, I already absolutely love the result- the incision is straight, smooth and so thin for in such a small amount of time. I vote Dr Weinzweig best surgeon in town!
