Long Awaited Septo-rhinoplasty - London, GB

Wish I hadn’t gone ahead

I wrote my original review very quickly after surgery, when the nose was still swollen & in hindsight, I should have waited until the final result was visible. Unfortunately, once the final result became apparent, it is clear that I have been left with issues requiring complex revision with rib grafting. I have nasal deviation, tip asymmetry, a bump on the left side, high tip position, asymmetrical nostrils & a nose that runs constantly. Add to that the visible septum/scar tissue & it’s not a pretty sight.

I did follow this up with Mr Solomos a couple of years after my surgery & was told he could not help with the issues I had been left with as he did not perform that type of complex revision surgery. He referred me to another Harley Medical surgeon who he said could do the type of surgery I need, but upon consulting with him it was clear he did not want to help & focussed more on telling me the issues were in my head.

Having consulted with 2 further surgeons who specialise in complex revision, it is clear the issues are not my head at all & are very real!

For my original surgery, I went on recommendation from Harley Street Medical & failed to conduct my own significant research - again, hindsight being the wonderful thing that is, I shouldn’t have done that & should have conducted more in depth research before undergoing surgery. That is a mistake I will not make again.

you look great! Amazing result

can i ask for a picture where you smile so i can see your teeth. For me, both the teeth and nose are crooked. Don't know if you can send a private message on here.
Hi

Thank you! My teeth are straight (thanks to years of braces!) lol & I don't think you can private message pictures on here so I will upload a photo with a smile. My face is still fairly stiff/numb in places so the full smile isn't quite back yet!
Thanks for posting the smile pic. Looking good! :)Was your nose straight as a kid? Mine was.

Has the numbness gotten better, any more changes in the nose with the swelling going down?
Hi, sorry I've only just seen this. Yes my nose was straight as a kid & gradually got more & more crooked as I got older. I have no idea if I broke it when I was younger (used to do lots of sports) or whether it was just nature! The numbness has gotten lots better & I can smile much more naturally now. I can move my nostrils again but the tip & columella are still pretty numb but I expected that as there was a lot of work done there x
The doctor did great!!!
Thank you - I am very happy with the result!
Hi you look fab, has all your swelling gone now
