After considering it for quite awhile now, I'm finally taking the leap and getting breast implants.

I'm currently a 32AA with a very small frame, but I do have a pretty decent sized butt and have long legs, so after trying on several sizes, the nurse at Dr. Hankins' office recommended a 345cc.

My biggest fear is going too big and overwhelming my small frame (I weigh about 100lbs), but I also fear going too small and regretting it later.

I'm REALLY hoping 345cc is a good choice for me. We will be doing silicone implants (the "gummy", slightly firmer ones) above the muscle, with incisions under the breast tissue.

I like the way 345cc looked when I tried on the bras, but it was really hard to tell. I'm hoping to achieve a full B/small C cup, and the nurse said that this size would get me about there.

However, after reading reviews of other women who got a 345cc, they reported that they became a D or DD. So that does concern me a bit.

Would love to get opinions on size from you guys -- do you think the 345cc would ultimately overwhelm me? I have no desire to be a D cup, as I prefer the look of smaller/moderate sized breasts.

Thanks as always, ladies! So excited for my surgery in a few months.

As a patient of Dr. Hankins, I'd trust their opinions any day! I went for under the muscle but that may not be a good choice for you with a smaller frame and low muscle tone in chest. I had 475 implants, mentor high profile, silicone. I am totally satisfied however I wonder about if I should have gone with 500s. Best to you!

Hi I had my op last week an I was a double a like you I also have a small frame. I've had 300cc under muscle implants an was told I would achieve a full c with this I'm fairly swollen still at the moment but they look great!

Hey I know this is a different post but I was wondering how you laser resurfacing ended and if it was worth it, in the outcome? I hope things are well and your procedure you did recently has proportionally enhanced your body, congrats!!

Reconsidering size and placement

Hey guys,

After doing a TON of research last night I think I'm going to ask for a 310cc, with submuscular placement.

The nurse during the size test yesterday kept insisting I could pull off bigger, but looking at the 345cc, I feel like that would give me the "big boob" look I want to avoid - I'd love a natural looking, attractive C cup, and I'm hoping perhaps a 310cc could achieve that for me.

Also, I've been reading that slender women should really opt for the submuscular procedure instead.

Attached is a photo of the 310cc on the left, next to the 345cc. :) Any thoughts?

Hello, Dr. Hankins was my surgeon as well.! I did 325cc, moderate plus, gummy bear implants, above the muscle. I was barely an A. I'm so glad that I listened to his advice. I can't see the implant at all, which was my biggest fear of going above the muscle. If there is anything I learned it would be to trust your doctor.! The only thing I would say is I wish I would have gone slightly bigger. So keep that in mind. I thought they were HUGE at first, but after the swelling went down I was sad that they weren't as big. "Boob greed". Hahahaha
Anyways Dr. Hankins is amazing. Either way you will love your results.!

Thanks so much for your comment! Do you have any before/after photos? What reasons did he give you for doing over instead of under?

I had a very constricted breast fold. he was worried that by putting the implant over the muscle I would have a higher chance of getting double bubble or more complications. I totally trust anything he says. He is amazing. The worst thing I did was book my date in February for July and research so much stuff that just siked me out for like 5 months. haha
If I could go back to my waiting time I would have thrown away my computer and phone so I couldn't read all the horror stories. My experience was so great, you are in great hands, trust me.!

I would definitely recommend going sub-muscular for the increased safety and peace of mind as well as a smoother appearance. I'm about 100-105 lbs and 5'6" and I went with 300cc and I'm very happy with it :) Not too much and not too little. Good luck!!!

Hey guys, I ended up changing my surgery date - I had surgery with Dr. Hankins 7 days ago (11/12) and chose a 275cc under the muscle.

I can't retroactively update my surgery date on this review so have created another one, which can be found in my profile.

I am very happy with my size and all aspects of my surgery. :)
